That's right everyone.. It is time to start a new Fan of the week, Laurie aka AI12345 is this fan of the week, but we still have to set up for next weeks. You know how it is done.
~Friday (8-18-06) at 11:59pm the nominating will end.
~Saturday (8-19-06) at 11:59pm the poll will end.
~Sunday (8-20-06) Next weeks winner will be announced.


P.S. Keep in mind.. Chad automatically does not want to be nominated being the owner and all. Now Laurie (AI12345) can NOT be nominated again either. This way recognition can go to everyone who works hard. Look through and see who you can find who has been doing so much lately and who you think the fan of the week should be.

It's really a toss-up this week between Elphie (for those incredibly creative packages) and CoBaby.  In the end, I have to nominate CoBaby because she has been behind MANY wonderful fan project these last few weeks:

The Concert Letter-Writing Project, which has given us all a way to communicate w/Kat even though she doesn't have a fan mail address yet

The AI Girls Tour Bus Care Packages were also CoBaby's idea

And I'm sure I'm forgetting something else important (in addition to coining the hot new Kat Pack slang word everyone's bantying about lately, the "Katfia")

Anybody have a Kat Pack pair of dice to throw?

Well, I want to nominate Vadia, because I said last week I would--and because she deserves a lot of praise from all the cumulative work she's done that's gone occasionally unsung. I also agree with Co as a must candidate for her tremendous organizing ability to make a project that doesn't look like it'd work on paper actually work in reality. Her letter-writing project alone was pulled off with aplomb when there could have been some pitfalls. Vadia and Cobaby both show what's possible when you put your mind to it and figure out the needed details.

So, let's put it this way: Vadia for me this week--and then Cobaby for next week. I promise, Co, I'll nominate you next week...because I know you deserve it. And then that's followed by Elphie, Pheenomenon, Ken, katidol, Don, myself (no, scratch that one) Sitily, and then...

Well you can see that doing this is just as much of a project as the Kat projects...

I nominate McElphaba (Elphie).  She really went above and beyond pulling that care package together last week. 

This just added (8.16.06)

Okay, people that sentence alone should get McElphaba the fan of the week.   Please remember this when you vote.


P.S.  Vadia is a shoe-in for fan of the week, but which week I'm not sure - how about the week of the LA Homecoming concert peeps??  Alright, I just have to lobby for the Elphie because the basket, the pillowcases were just incredible (I'd like to add she almost was killed and treked through a fierce storm to accomplish this SPECIAL DELIVERY for Kat!)

Yes, I nominate my princess too! She is doing A LOT on this homecoming project, and she volunteered herself to Chad even when she was not planning to go to the concert. That alone deserved my nomination this week. Go Nancy go, my girl!

For this week, I'm going to nominate the other party to the delivering of the care package, Elphie.

Anyone who will walk into a concert babysitting a large duck and a baby elephant deserves, no - demands, respect.

I want to get Elphie nominated before too much time has passed from the deed.

Next week, I plan on nominating Co for all the wonderful projects and efforts that she has shepherded through to completion.

After that, Vadia for the incredible effort she has made in making the glow stick homecoming project a success. A well deserved honor for the week of the homecoming.
Katharine's summer is full of hope, full of potential, and promises to provide many bouquets to grace the home that I call my heart.

Hmmmm, Well, I would nominate Co, since she came up with the fabulous Care Package idea, and made some fabulous contributions thereto. But she's already been nomed...LOL So I'll spread the wealth. Gosh....Hmmmm. I think I'd like to nominate someone who helped out bigtime with the baskets, and there were soooo many. But I think two who went above and beyond are KatPack1198 (Melissa) and Mutt808 (Steve). Hmmmmm. Although Vadia also made some fabulous donations-but she's already nomed too. Hahaha Gosh, ok, I'm going to do inny minny miny moe...Because these two seriously did some amazing work basket-wise, but in the end, based sheerly on the approval of Princess P herself (who stated that she loved the Hello Kitty) I am going to nominate Mutt808. (Melissa, I owe you a much deserved nom. in the weeks to come.

That is really very sweet, but I can't tell you how horribly embarrassing it is for you to even mention me when I know how much everybody else has done.  I also know that I'm not even aware of a lot of things that the rest of you have done that have gone uncredited.  That, coupled with the fact that all I did was shoplift... I mean buy a stuffed cat and some candy... To say that I am humbled is an understatement.
