The Hollywood TattleTale

Judicial Nomination for Miss Piggy?

Hollywood - Clueless Press International   Word around town is that American Idol and Miss Piggy have been talking. Sources have reported that American Idol wants to spice up the show for Season 6, and the outspoken pink pig puppet would bring exactly that to the equation. It seems that the idea of Miss Piggy at the judge's table has several advantages for the new season. A partial list was provided to Hollywood TattleTale by someone behind the scenes on condition of anonymity.

1. She would provide a much needed splash of color to the judge's table.

2. She isn't particularly fond of being touched, which would generate fireworks if she is seated next to Simon.

3. She can't jump up on stage and dance. She can, however, swoon on request.

4. No one knows exactly what comments will come from her lips (editor's comment: do pigs have lips?) but it is a sure bet that it will be controversial.

5. Randy's Dawg Pound would have competition from the Pig Pen.

Miss Piggy's personal requirements may be the only thing standing in the way of an agreement being reached before the show hits the road later this year. It is rumored that she demands bone china serving dishes and fully catered slop service. She also demands that her personal manicurist be flown to Hollywood each week from New York. It seems he is the only manicurist in the United States specializing in french hooves.

A decision on whether or not to offer a judgeship is expected within the next several weeks.

Katharine's summer is full of hope, full of potential, and promises to provide many bouquets to grace the home that I call my heart.

For some reason I'm excited for this. I love talking puppets...But what about Kermit? Whatwith his cameo appearance last season and his affiliation with Ford...

"I think it was the summertime when I laid eyes on you. I didn't even know your name...The boy you never wanted just steals your heart..."--Kat McPhee, Love Story

"4 walls and no you. The silence in this room is so loud...wow"--Kat McPhee, I Lost You

"I didn't see the crash that burnt the bridge, didn't see the missile that sank my loveship down..."--Kat McPhee, Dangerous

"Wanting you to be wanting me, no that ain't no way to be...You never were a friend of mine..."--Kat McPhee, Over It

"No more lonely nights to hurt me, no more tears left to spare, no more reasons to be unhappy. You threw them all up in the air..."--Kat McPhee, Each Other

"Your pedicure, white-tipped French. Your legs don't make no sense...Shoes like these make me hate flats..."--Kat McPhee, Open Toes

Rumor has it that one of the judges, who shall remain nameless but sits in the middle, got a little too friendly with Kermit at the ad shoot.  He has a steady girl, a pond of his own, and now a new Ford. He doesn't want to jeopardize that.

On the other hand, Oscar the Grouch said he might be interested.  He can always slam the lid on his can if it gets too dicey for him.

Ah, ok. That explains it. He was a little too green for the show anyhow. It needs more of a fleshy-toned character.

Well, let's not forget that all the Muppets loaned out their individual songs from 'Sesame Street' to 'AI' for next season--so all contestants can sing them next year. That means if a contestant sings Oscar the Grouch's 'I Love Trash', Cookie Monster's 'C is for Cookie' or Ernie's 'Rubber Ducky'--they'll get a REAL musical analysis for once from guest Muppet judges. Yes, that's right, as bad as they may sound, all the Muppets are trained classically in voice. 'Sesame Street', after all, was the first musical kid show on TV.

And there's some breaking news on the Miss Piggy story: Reports were that she wanted to be on there this last season after Kat was seen patting Kermit on the head during that Ford commercial. Of course, by the time that aired, it was too late to bring in a celebrity judge. And because Simon eats bacon everyday, he wouldn't permit it let alone any other judge with a pugnacious sensibility. This led to a flying rage by Miss Piggy and one of those karate chops to Simon's stomach backstage one night. It explains some of Simon's cranky behaviour toward Kat during the run of the show.

You see, the rumour is that Miss Piggy has been secretly married to Kermit since 1988. Even though she kept her showbiz name, her real name is Mrs. Piggy Frog. And last reports were that she's on the prowl for Katharine because of jealousy that Kermit was instantly smitten with Miss McPhee.

So even though Miss Piggy may be on the show next season...we have to keep an eye out for what she'll do when Kat makes that inevitable guest appearance as a musical guest at next year's finale.
