Hey Kat,-- With the ending of the tour, you have completed another phase of your successful journey. The tour probably had it's ups and downs, but I think of all of the new fans you have made with your awesome performances, the dedicated fans who were able to attend the concerts, and then those who even got to meet you. These concerts have been very special to all of your fans. I am so glad that you had the opportunity to sing in bigger venues and were able to express yourself more freely than on AI. Attending the shows in Tacoma and Houston and seeing you perform LIVE were incredible experiences for me that I will never forget. However, I did not get to meet you yet. In Houston I was really close to the right corner of the stage so I could see how beautiful you are. You were extremely energetic, playful and happy, happy that night with your big smile and a sparkle in your eyes..You have really spoiled us, first by being able to watch you on A I every week, and then following you on the tour through recaps, videos and photos provided by your fans at each of the venues. I will really miss following your experiences! On A I your talent, beauty, and charisma were very obvious, but during and since then I have found out so much more about your inner self . These qualities make you a very special, unique person who I can't help caring so much about, and I will always be here for you.
You should feel so proud of yourself Kat, for everything you have already accomplished both in your personal life and with your career!! I'm sure there are some things we are not even aware of yet. We love surprises!! You have helped so many people by openly discussing problems you have dealt with and by being so strong during unexpected set backs. You also have given so much inspiration and joy to all of your dedicated fans and brought many of us together on the kmf site. Thank you for everything Kat! We are of so proud of you!! Now we are all anxiously awaiting the release of your album. I'm sure with your planning and input it will be fantastic. I'm also looking forward to your solo tour. You have mentioned being aware of the importance of making the right decisions. Remember, we will always be here to support and love you what ever you choose to persue and if any unexpected things come up. You have already proven you have what it takes to be very successful, and being multi -talented will give you many opportunities, so don't doubt yourself. I would like to start off by wishing you luck in all you do. Though it’s hard to see it now, you do deserve every good thing that comes your way. I have moments when I don’t feel I deserve something, but I have slowly started to realize that in some way I do deserve it. It’s hard to grasp that concept within ourselves, but essentially it is true.
With the end of the tour comes the beginning of your journey to a long and successful career. Keep in mind that before anything else, you are Katharine McPhee from Sherman Oaks. Continue to stay true to who you are, and follow your heart because that is what truly matters.
I am so excited about your album, and I can’t wait to buy it. I may just have to buy myself a "Katharine only" iPod for all the albums you’ll make, which I believe you will.
On a more light-hearted note, I have listed meeting you as one of my life goals. Along with having healthy relationships and a career I’m passionate about, I have listed, and I quote, "MEET KATHARINE McPHEE (even if it kills me)." Hehe...a girl has to have hopes!...And now you probably think I’m weird, and so brings the end of my letter.

Dear Kat, First of all I want to let you know I much I thoroughly enjoyed writing to you over the course of this summer. Thank you sooo much for making season 5 of American Idol such a memorable one for me. I have never voted like crazy for any other Idol in any previous season of A.I. before. When you are reading this letter, the tour will be officially over. I am soo fortunate and grateful that I will be the one personally delivering the last batch of letters to you on Saturday, September 23rd in Bridgeport, CT. This will actually be my 3rd American Idol concert that I will have seen this summer, but only the 1st one that you will be performing in. You have so many memories that you will cherish and remember forever from this tour. I'm sure you won't be missing the long bus rides, but I bet you and the girls had lots of fun together on all of those long trips you have been making night after night. I am soo excited and anxious for your album to come out later this year. Also, I will be anxiously awaiting your solo tour, and I will definitely be attending it to show my support for you. I am such a huge fan of yours Kat. You are my #1 Idol and nothing will ever change that. I know I will miss hearing all the recaps from each and every concert from the tour this summer. It was soo exciting to read the recaps from all of your fans, and to see the photos from the show. I enjoyed them soo much and will miss it alot. You have definitely made my summer of 06 a memorable one for me. I have to tell you that the amount of time I spend on the internet had completely changed because of you. In the past, I used to rarely go online, just to check my email, do some work for my classes, etc. Now, I am on it at least once a day to find out the latest on KMF.
I am sooo excited for your future,and want you to know that I will always be supporting you. I am a fan forever. You are my #1 Idol and that will never change. I'm sure you will enjoy being back home spending time with your family and not have to spend your nights in a hotel room. You definitely deserve the best after everything you have given to us fans, and still continue to give us. I appreciate everything that you have done. You are such a talented person that is filled with soo much beauty and sweetness in you. I am soo lucky that I will have the chance of meeting you, it will be a dream come true for me. I know that night will be a night that I will never forget, I will remember it always.
Thanks again Kat for making American Idol season 5 and the summer of 06 both such memorable ones for me. Take care of yourself and get yourself some much deserved rest when you get back home- you deserve it. Stay as sweet as you are.

Well hello there! By the time you read this, the tour will most likely be finished. How did it feel to sing infront of the enormous crowds? I can tell you how we felt watching it all. Because you having an amazing fan base, we were able to get footage, from one place or another, of the idol concerts. I think there were only a couple that didn't have any. When you laughed - we laughed, when you cried - we cried, when you smiled - we were right there smiling with you. I must say, it was amazing watching you progress from when you first came back to the present concerts. You are simply amazing and have an incredible gift - we are blessed that you have taken care of that gift and shared it with us all.
Now begins a new journey, your own journey. I hope you are excited as we are!! You have an incredible life ahead of you, one of enless possibilities. As well as your other fans, I will be cheering you on every step of the way. Whether you are making a cd, performing at a concert, appearing in a movie, and anything other aspiration that you embark on, I will always support you.
I have some words of wisdom for you... Although I'm 22 and still young, like you, there has been some advice that will forever stick with me. Three things... 1 - 'Before anyone else can make you happy, you need to make yourself happy.' It sounds so simple and it really is. You are doing what you've dreamed of your whole life and it is making you happy. It is an awesome thing. 2 - Always surround yourself with people you love, people who love and support you, people who care about you, and people you can trust. 3 - "If you don't do anything else in life, love somebody, and let somebody else love you" This will always be my favorite quote and I thought I would share it with you
Anyway, have an awesome time working on your debut album. We are eagerly waiting for the surprise of the style you have chosen. We will buy it, encourage others to buy it, and buy it again! I hope that God keeps blessing you with everything that you need to keep succeeding and fulfilling your dreams. Best of luck to you. You will be in my heart and prayers. HEY KAT!!!
So this is the last chance to write you before the tour ends and you can finally take a break and get off that bus. Well, I have so many things to say but I don't know where to start and I probably forget half of them.
First of all I'm going to start by saying that I wish you knew Spanish, it'd be much easier for me... haha... because sometimes I can't find the right words to say and the fluency just disappears, so I hope you understand at least the main idea.
I’m so happy that everything turned out fine in your life. We need more people like you in the world Kat. And when people say they’ve run out of words to compliment you or describe you it’ s true because there’s no right word but all the good adjectives of the dictionary. You may think I’m exaggerating but this is what I feel.
Well Kat, I’m sorry I made it so short but I’m not feeling really good ‘cause I got the flu and I’m kind of weak. I may have fever or McPheever (Oh!, I think I have that since February).
I promise my next letter will be normal, but I didn’t want to miss the last tour delivery.
