Great gifts are going into this tour care project. Hope we can get a glimpse of the finish product.
Oh you definitely will see some photos of this - it's going to look awesome!!!!  A HUGE special thanks to McElphaba (Elphie, as we've nicknamed her) for being the reposit for the gifts.  She has gone above & beyond on this project - purchasing the basket; making pillowcases for each girl with their names sewn on and in their tour colors; and adding ribbons w/ their respective fan base names/colors.

Elphie will be writing down everything that will be included in the basket and posting photos.  It sounds like it'll be Christmas in August for the girls when they open this basket!   Also, thanks to all of you that participated, I think the Kat Pack is going to be loved even more by all the Girls!!
Thank you for the update, Co.  Oh, that Elphie is so creative -- is she going to put gifts for each girl into their respective pillow cases?  That sounds like a neat idea.

And kudos for your admirable use of the word "reposit."
Kat Packers are so smart.

Excellent job! I'm sure they will be delighted. And the home made pillow cases are a really sweet personal touch. Only a group of girls could have conceived and carried off such a great idea, we guys would still be trying to decide between the "Terminator" or "Predator" DVD box sets....

I'm scared to use the word "kudos" in case I use it incorrectly

(like Paula, who seems to thing a "big kudos" equals a "big round of applause")

You ended up with a lot of goods, and it's great to see pictures of all of it. The pillow cases you made are really neat! I can see why you and Laurie had a heavy load to haul. Thanks again for all of the work you did on this project.

Wow, what an attractive assortment of things there. Just looking at everything is worthy for a photo moment. Who knew DVD's and bags of Ricolas could look so attractive?

You should look into working with advertising where they make products look attractive on camera. Then again, did I hear you do work in the advertising business, McE?

All kidding aside, I'd be happy to get even half of all that from adoring fans--so great job on this gift project. The idols should be extremely happy with every single item there. And you were smart to get food products that were fairly healthy. Everything from the granola bars to the Mac nuts--it's all quite healthy and perfect snacks when you're on the road. Even the Ricolas have some herbs in them that are supposed to be healthy to digest--regardless if you have a hacking cough/sore throat or not.

I see a note you wrote to the idols there that's not shown entirely. Any chance of getting a new photo showing the complete note? I always enjoy seeing things like that and how they're put together. I assume McE wrote the note--though maybe it was Co or someone else?

Those personalized Kat towels were a brilliant idea--and probably a godsend when you realize that they all have to use their own towels on the bus. But I hope they're not on the bus long enough where they have to use a washcloth or towel...when they can potentially get mixed in with somebody else's towel. Most likely, they just shower and use towels in the hotels. Those hotel towels, though, probably aren't nearly as soft as those handmade ones.

By the way, those Smarties candies look like classic lunch boxes.

Again, thanks for the photos. Kat and the idols will probably remember you forever because of this project. Now I hope Laurie shows the pic of Kat looking at the photo album...

Thanks again for putting all of that together, Elphie, I'm still amazed at how much stuff you managed to haul into the concert.  By the way, that picture of Basket B and the McBoot cracked me up

Greg, I recognized that note that you can partially read... because I wrote it.  But since Elphie printed it in pink font, it doesn't quite look like me.  I know she included a card, and I'm sure some other people wrote some notes.

I looked it up, and here is what that one note in the picture says... And I'll even make it pink for your reading pleasure:

To Kat & the Idol girls:

Here are a few things from Hawaii to help you get through your grueling touring schedule.

First of all, a Hawaiian Hello Kitty.  You can tell right away that she's a huge McPhan because she's wearing Kat's tour color.

Everything else is self-explanatory, just some things for you all to eat, use, enjoy...

But one thing that may need explanation... I looked it up on the internet and read that ginger candy is supposed to be soothing to the throat for singers.  I have absolutely no clue whether it's true, but I wanted to send you some just in case.

If it's not true, you can just throw it out the tour bus as you're driving away.  The fans will love it, and you will get a kick out of seeing them wince in pain when the hard candies hit their skulls.

Aloha,
