Hey there, Kat Pack/McPhans! Kat's going on a road trip!! Let’s help celebrate with a great big care package from all of us to Katharine and all the Idol girls to enjoy on the Girls Tour Bus. Mail your care package item so that it is received by Wednesday, August 9th. If you want to participate, please send an e-mail to NoImNotAWaitress@aol.com for the shipping address. Your goodies should entertain, inspire, feed, keep them healthy or otherwise help Kat and the Idol Girls along on their tour. Here’s a list of suggestions, now let your creativity take over! And please hurry! Care Package suggestions: - Non-perishable food items from your area - Games (Per Kellie they have been playing the game "Scene It", click here to find out information on ordering one) NOTE: Will try to find out which one they already have - Magazines - Sudoku and crossword puzzle books - Mad Libs - Candy/gum - Energy/Power Bars - Cough drops - Teas - CDs - DVDs (Per Kellie they love DVDS) - Starbuck's Gift Cards - Tour guide info on different cities they’ll be visiting on the tour - Something creative This care package will be delivered at the August 10^th Concert.

This is definitely a great project Co! I'm so excited to see what all we can collect for the girls' bus! Let's all jump on this one, and make this a lot of fun for Kat and the girls!!!

Nice work, Co. I'm excited to go run out and buy some things this afternoon. I'm emailing for the address right now. Hey, I'm sure you probably saw this, but it looks like the Kat Pack force is already engaged and in motion. thumbs up (from Chad's DC concert post) Some of our members asked me to ask her [Kellie] what the girls liked to do on their long bus rides, because they are planning a gift basket for all the girls...She told me they liked to play this game called "Seen it", and of course love DVDs.

Does the gift have to be for everyone? If I want to send a gift to Kat only, can I go with this project? I know we are sending messages to her every concert, but nothing mentioned about delivering gifts.

Hi Katidol - No, you can send something separately just for Kat, but please send an e-mail to NoImNotAWaitress@aol.com (KMF member McElphaba) to let her know (a few special exceptions can be made, as I know you are a huge fan and a dedicated Moderator ). Also, we haven't been sending messages (letters) at every concert, we just do so when we have a definite person lined up that is meeting Kat. Right now it looks like the next delivery of letters will probably be August 10.

i don't even know if this is a good idea but i just thought of something the other day. i think it might be a good idea for people to post in this thread what they're sending so that way they won't get like, 20 copies of the same dvd or something like that. if people want to keep it private, i guess you can do that also, but i just figured if we kept track of everything, it makes it more interesting for them to get all different items...just a suggestion

i don't know if this is a good idea but i think it might be good if somebody can buy from ebay or another place a dvd of AI 5 COMPLETE (i know is not the official) but can be something good because maybe they never see some performes or they just wanna to see it again!! I can't do this Bcause im not from US. (u can see that cause my english lol).....and 4 me is really difficult bay something in $$$$!!

I was thinking of going to Bed & Bath Works and pick up purse size Anti-Bacterial Moisturing Hand Gels (hand cleaning gel w/o water) for each of the gals. Comes in handy when traveling. Another DVD I was think about was Julia Roberts & Hugh Grants movie, Nottinghill. Hope I can find it.

Good idea, but I don't think I'm going to have enough time to shop and send the package. Will you be doing this again later? Also, just a suggestion: I think Mandisa is on a diet so don't include any tempting, fattening foods!

Went out today and I did find a copy of Notting Hill at our local Best Buy. I read somewhere Kat likes Julia Roberts. I enjoy this movie too and also have the soundtrack CD.

i sent a dvd of the movie "rent", a box of snacks that i forgot the name of (they're healthy haha) & i made a cd mix of fun songs. i wrote that they can all dance to them when kat's foot gets better haha

wow...i am so behind the 8 ball on all of these fun projects! i wish i had seen these things sooner--i don't think anything will arrive from here to there within 2 days--usually even priority takes 3 from here...that stinks! oh well...i am sure others saw it and are contributing...my heart is in it! have fun at the show!

I made a little gift package for each girl with a DVD (Kat's was "Amelie"), travel size lotion, a Balance bar, travel wipes, a handwritten card, an organizer pocket folder for holding some of their fan mail, plus some stamped envelopes to make it easier for them to respond to fan mail while they're out on the road.

Oh you definitely will see some photos of this - it's going to look awesome!!!! A HUGE special thanks to McElphaba (Elphie, as we've nicknamed her) for being the reposit for the gifts. She has gone above & beyond on this project - purchasing the basket; making pillowcases for each girl with their names sewn on and in their tour colors; and adding ribbons w/ their respective fan base names/colors. Elphie will be writing down everything that will be included in the basket and posting photos. It sounds like it'll be Christmas in August for the girls when they open this basket! Also, thanks to all of you that participated, I think the Kat Pack is going to be loved even more by all the Girls!!
