Hi all! I've been thinking for a long time about doing something special for Katharine, but I couldn't really come up with anything. I have thought of something that I think we'd all enjoy and that anyone can participate in, but I'm going to need input and help. Here's my plan:

I have really gotten into videos and movie maker. I want to put together something for Kat from her fans. I know there is already a media project for her family going on, but this is different. I was thinking about something along the lines of a "Kat Pack profile" or something. Like, everybody could send in a picture of themselves and a quote or dedication for Kat. That way, Kat could watch it and see who her fans are. And, you could also say where you're from, and the video could break down all her fans according to where they are, or something. These are first-draft ideas. I really need everybody's input. I really want to do this. Several of us have made fan video tributes to Kat (I know I have, and I've seen some really great ones others have made.) Maybe now it's our turn to let Kat know who we are.

So... what's the verdict?? Love it? Hate it? Have suggestions? Please let me know! Hopefully we can finalize details and get started so it'll be ready for when she's off tour and has time to watch it, like a nice "welcome home" gift. What do you think??

Thanks, Jennifer! It's so nice when another great fan pops in with creative new ideas that we can all join in on to show Katharine how much we appreciate her. She definitely has said many times how much she really wants to "see all our faces." So far, we've made her a poster collage of international fan photos and a fan scrapbook. A video montage like what you're talking about sounds really good, too. We could have a lot of fun with that. Right now, the Kat Pack is coming off a huge flurry of good projects, including a major one currently in progress (L.A. homecoming tribute), but in another few days, when some of this McDust clears, I'd be happy to turn something in for this one.

Vadia said it perfect! Sounds like a great idea, I don't know much about videos or how to do them for that matter, but I sure will try to help out. Anything for Kat!
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason if you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, Let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy they just promised it would be worth it.

Hey there Jennifer!  I'm liking the idea and have a couple questions for you.  Is there someway we could add audio files from the fans to go with the pictures?  Is that too complicated to do?  I thought I read somewhere else on this site about fans wanting to send Kat a personal message via audio files.  

There are some funny things that we could do as well, like sharing some stories from this summer with narrated audio tracks to go with them - "Elphie and Laurie's fan meeting" was classic; the picture of security taking the phone from Kat while calling Vadia (thanks to Geckie aka Julie); "Kat in Glasses," and how everyone went so crazy over that on the message board; a screen shot of the chat room and some of the ramblings that go on in there; Team McLA and pics of them handing out the glowsticks; etc.  To accomplish this you would need some people to provide the narration, so definitely some logistics in pulling this off; however, with determination it could be done.  These of course, are just some suggestions, but I think Kat would probably get a kick out of her goofy and loyal fans, and the efforts we go through all for the love of Kat.  I also think she'd be so honored and amazed at how close her fans are, as well as, the dedication from the fans to share Kat information on this site. 

Okay, time to get back to work!

Yes; it would be tricky to manage, but it could be done. That's an excellent idea. I have audio converters that I can play with to make it work. Anybody that has a cute story and wants to share it would be awesome. They could be submitted along with their pictures/video and audio. Great project Jennifer..count with me..for the audio things Jennifer if you want you can be in charge of the video things (i have no idea bout that), and for the audio messages i CAN really HELP (i know how to do it..DJ Lauri..lol) ..if you need to get together the voice messages of all Kat Fans i can do it, i will be very happy and have no problems ..so think about it, this is my msn..Lauris0692@hotmail.com

Do you think it is possible for this project to be a gift to Kat when her music album is out? Those who take part in the project can buy the music album from KMF. The albums will have kat's signature/autograph on it.
i'm sure international fans would love to have an autographed album.
