Is the media in Ca. talking about it, Vadia?
Good question, Kate. We didn't post anything to the media about it because we're trying to keep the tribute a surprise for Katharine.
lol, i was talking about her performance last night. It was just incredible. I didnt know if it was being talked about there. They just played a repeat of her on the view too. Timing is everything! BTW, kudo's to you for all your hard work.

Do you need anymore volunteers? There are three of us going and we could all help. Also, is this being done the next night in Anaheim? Do we need to buy the glowsticks? We bought our own some time ago.

I'll help...no the grand spectacular is only at Staples Center on Saturday night. Although I bet we could have come up with enough money to do it again in Anaheim the next night. Don't want to lose the one-time special effect, you know?
The idea is...Katharine doesn't know (although she might...I think she has an idea something is going to happen...maybe she doesn't know exactly)...and of course she's from Los Angeles, not Anaheim.
So only one "Homecoming" for Katharine. Although I hope all the California shows are homecomings for her. Nice for her to get to perform on her home turf after going through everyone else's (except Lisa & Ace).
"I saw Katharine McPhee when there were about 12 contestants left on American Idol. She blew me away. I loved her grace, her style, her poise, her voice and her hair! I wanted her to be the face of Sexy Hair because she represented everything that I had in my head for the brand: youth, beauty, talent, class, a young sophistication, and sexiness." -- Jim Morrison, CEO of Sexy Hair Products.

V, I am so sorry I am going to miss this. Congratulations on all your hard work. Do you want me to write my contact at the Daily News? Or wait?

Okay, so the glow sticks were probably confiscated because there was already a vendor inside the arena selling them (for $10 a pop), and the venue didn't want to be competing with 10,000 free glow sticks.

10,000 glowsticks in the arena would have been astounding, it's true, but now the beauty of the story lies in the fact that Katharine's fans had to fight even harder to be able to give her a meaningful hometown welcome. Even though security chased our volunteers around the venue & confiscated glowsticks from concertgoers at the door, in the end, Katharine and her fans won out. Countless fans worked together to secretly bring nearly 2,000 glowsticks into the show. Everyone waved them, everyone cheered, and there was so much love in the house for her that night. Katharine noticed. Mission accomplished.
