* * UPDATE * *
We're now up to 21 volunteers!! 7 more would be ideal, but we're seriously looking good.

The stories of generosity, kindness and dedication among Katharine's fans is unprecedented. When all is said and done, I cannot wait to share all the goodness with you.

One very important component must still fall into place re: this project. I will keep you posted as I learn more.

I wish I could be in Los Angeles, when Katharine McPhee comes home next week. I am sorry that I can't be there when this happens.

I am also sorry that I didn't get the chance to see her at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey, last month.

I wish could go to Los Angeles to see it.

I just sent out an important update to all of our homecoming volunteers. Before you all go run and check your email boxes, I'd just like to introduce you to...Lucky, our happy dancing glowstick cat (My apologizies for the wrong color of glowsticks, but our little Lucky is colorblind).

I'm still amazed at how this thing came together so quickly.  It seems like the idea was out there and all the money needed was gathered in less than a week.  And it isn't like we only needed $100 or something.

Anyway, just want to thank all of you who've been involved in this so far and good luck to everyone who's going to make this happen on Saturday night for our girl.  Because this is just such a cool thing....I just don't know what to make of it.

If Katharine thought all of those roses were amazing (and it was)...this is going to be even more so because of all of the "neutrals" that are going to have to cooperate to make this possible.

I'm sure that given the general makeup of the AI concert crowd that this should work brilliantly.  I don't think you guys will have any problems getting people to do it.  As long as they know why and what they are supposed to do.

A couple of suggestions...

1) And this would mean you have extra people but....it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have a few people wonder around the seating area inside Staples Center during the 6-6:50 time period and just remind people about the glowsticks they were given.

2) I'm sure this has been suggested.  But I only read asking Kellie...why not Elliott or Ace?  They will be on stage right before Katharine.  Have one of them remind the crowd about "what they're supposed to do" next...I realize the AI people are strict but what would they do?  It would take one of the guys five seconds to do it.

Anyway, just a couple of thoughts.  So wish I could be there Saturday...
