This is great everyone!!! Nancy (Vadia), since you are the POC for this project please let me know if me or my sister (Sarah) can help out with anything (prep wise?)... I feel so distant out here in the middle of the Pacific ocean, lol. This is my first time at the Staples Center so I'm not familiar with the arena at all, sorry.

I agree with Katidol about getting Vadia a ticket to witness this event... she so deserves it!

It's great to hear from you, Lani.  Yes, I'm sure we'll find a way to keep you and Sarah busy.  We're going to make this homecoming concert an event that Kat will never forget! Please let me know if you got the email I sent you today.

I will drop the glowsticks off at 5, go pick up someone and be right back to the Staples center if we still need help passing these out...


The staples center has two entrances. One in the main front and the other to the side for the upper levels. We can split up and hit both entrances. There should be a line to get in which will be moving fairly slowly so we can just hand em out then. Another good idea is when the lakers and clippers are giving stuff out, they stand right inside of where they take the tickets. That way right when they get in, we can start handing them out to people. That would be a much more convenient and efficient way to get this done since there are only 2 entrances. Can Vadia clear that with staples if thats possible? That way we dont have any outsiders that are not coming in to get the sticks..

Can we ask for volunteers on the AI forums under the kat section. I have a feeling there are tons of people in there that can help us out...

I'll be contacting the Staples arena tomorrow and will definitely let you know what I find out.

I just posted about this project on the AI boards but didn't give out too many details, to hopefully keep bashers at bay.  I just asked L.A. area Kat Packers to PM me for details.

So far, we have eight, including you, Puyatboys. With traffic and everything, we may have to assume that some may sign up but not be able to make it early enough, so we should definitely shoot for more volunteers.

Word of this event is now out on katharinefans, Idol forums, and the American Idol boards. And so far, we have a sum total of two people from the L.A. area who have signed up. One is Katidol, and the other is a Taylor fan! The other volunteers are coming in from other counties and even states.

WHERE ARE ALL THE L.A. KAT FANS??????

Im sure they just havent been in this forum for a while now that Idol is over. Im hoping they will check soon...

I know there are at least four people I know who are Cat fans and are going to the concert. I will try to contact them cause I know they would be down to do this...

Lots of things are happening now with this homecoming gesture for Kat. Kat fans pitched in, and in the blink of an eye we had 10,000 glowsticks ordered, plus Kat's family knows about this, and Staples Center has been contacted.

It would be a shame not have enough people to pass out all the glowsticks.

About a week or so ago this project was just an idea and in the blink of an eye it's a reality. Kat fans are amazing and there really are none like us. I haven't been online in days because of work and such and I must say I am disappointed that I missed out on helping with the project, but I am seriously in awe of quickly this was all completed. I wanted to purchase some glowsticks and all since I can't be in LA to help out (NY is kind of far away), but I guess I'll just have to be a supporter of the project. It's such a great idea and it's so exciting. If I can help in any way at all some way some how, please let me know! Keep up the good work everyone - this is going to take Kat's breath away.

While I was unable to reply in time to help with the glowstick project, and I live in Texas so I cannot help distribute them, I know that all of you generous fans will make this project work. It is a great idea and I can't wait to see the pictures and Kat's reaction. I know that there will be some other project that I can help with in the future.

Even though you're far away, you can help by doing things like bumping threads about this on the AI boards & IDF (if you go there), and if you come across anyone that's going to the L.A. show, reminding them to email me about helping to pass out glowsticks.


Though we have had several lovely people volunteer, I'm sorry to say that the energy and goodwill in designing T-shirts and contributing to glowsticks, far surpasses response from fans volunteering to physically be there to hand them out.

That's what we need now to really make this a beautiful hometown tribute for our girl.

Fifteen volunteers have now signed up to help pass out glowsticks! Thanks so much to the AWESOME fans who've volunteered to help make this a really nice homecoming for Kat.

Volunteers are signing up, glowsticks will soon be ordered, design for the volunteer T-shirts is completed and we'll be ordering those soon, and a plan for distributing the glowsticks is coming together. Still, there is one more important component that has to fall into place before we can move forward. I will keep you all posted.

Oh I wish I could help you guys. I would but I live in NY ..I don't even know anyone that lives there. Do you think some sorority or something would help out or some kind of organization or senior citizen group...maybe just a few extra bodies around would help?? If you need anything that I can do from here I'd be more than happy to help...just let me know. Thanks to everyone that is making all of this happen. I can't tell you how moved I am to see all these projects for Kat. You dont see stuff like this every day anymore it's really great!! ((((((HUGS to the KAT FANS))))))))))))))
