Catch Kat in The House Bunny in theaters nationwide NOW! fandango.com
It's great to finally have the Kat Pack Street Team over here at KMF. And I believe the US fans are gonna do a major, major killing getting out Katharine's songs to be played in all the US stations. But I also wanna give a shout out to all the international fans out there. I think fans all over the globe should also try to organize a campaign plan once Katharine's single and album comes out in their respective countries.
What do you guys think?
Great thread, Shinamarih!! Posted By Collette_leyton on 11/30/2006 2:06 AM ... i tried also gave MD / OtR to local radio Djs in my town, but when i requested, they've never played them, they said bcoz there's no others who requested it.. Aarrrgg.. Yay, Collette! It's so great hear that you're making efforts to spread the word about Kat's music in Indonesia! Thanks for sharing that story, especially because it's a great reminder of the strength we fans have in numbers. We KNOW there are tons of devoted Kat fans like you in Indonesia. What would relaly be effective is to coordinate efforts… Shinamarih made an excellent suggestion earlier in this thread about having a fan representative from each country coordinate street team efforts by region. A great example of how a Kat Pack Street Team Country Coordinator could be useful in this situation is that they could coordinate with fellow fans from their country to compile a list of key radio station request lines by region and rotate calling different stations during different times of day. See suggestions for effective radio station requesting in this thread: http://www.katharinefans.com/Forums/tabid/92/forumid/34/postid/23105/view/topic/Default.aspx
And also in Elphie’s post in the “Let’s Hear It!” thread in this forum: “As soon as the single is released, you should call in and request it every day. However, until it starts getting airplay, you should try calling at different times of the day. Call in the morning the first day, lunchtime the next day, afternoon the next, and late at night the next and then start over. (This way, you'll talk to different DJs and radio personnel, and let quite a few people at the station know that you want to hear it.) When the song begins to get even the tiniest amount of play, you can begin calling in as often as you want, because the more a song is played, the more likely it is that they'll be getting multiple requests for it. Plus, they'll want to know that you're enjoying listening to what they're playing. Hope this helps!”
Go Kat Pack Street Team International!!!

I know there are Katharine fans in my town since MD reached #1 in the radio last month.

Do What I did - worked to some extent... Call back the station at least 10 more times (in succession, if possible), speak in different voices and request........... If they have callerID, borrow 10 mobile phones and call.... I managed to sneak ONE Airplay for SOTR..... heehee
Oh, btw, when you speak in different voices, change the sexes, ages around a bit - low tone for men, high pitch for teenager etc...... Believe me, it WORKS......
Cheers
Great thread, Shinamarih!! Thanks Lady V! Anything I can do to help, I'm gonna do it..We're gonna dominate and make this a "Kat Krazy World"!!!
