Kat Fans!   It's time to hit the streets and unite as a fan base to promote our girl.  We all love Katharine and want her new CD to be a huge success.  Lots of street team promotions are in the works for Katharine, both individually and on various boards, and that's a great thing.  If we all work together, we can accomplish even more.  The new Kat Pack Street Team MySpace is a hub where ALL Katharine fans can go to find out more about how they can help promote Kat and her music.

Go to www.myspace.com/katpackstreetteam to download new banners to promote Kat’s CD online, or print them to hand out as cards to the public.  You can also click on our radio station locator link to get a list of all radio stations in your area, so you’re ready to start dialing as soon as Kat’s single drops.  We’ll also be posting the new CD release date as soon as it’s confirmed.  Sign-up for the Street Team as a MySpace friend to get bulletins on upcoming promo news, contests, and lots of other goodies.  See you there!

I've never been on that street team MySpace--so thanks, Co, for the reminder to get involved there. I'll send out a friend request there later since I have a bare bones MySpace page set up now. People will definitely think I'm Katcentric (new McDictionary term) if they go into my friends section before long. Time to add some of you as individuals in my friends list to make it look diversified.

Yes, I'll print out some of those banners and things to help get the word out. Our own promotion should truly help the album go to #1 in my mind--because the buzz is already so intense and possibly indicative of at least a Top Five debut. Our involvement will possibly help put it over the top. And we should have better fortunes getting the radio stations to play her new single when it finally comes out. If not, Clear Channel must truly get the evil stamp this time around. 

By the way, is that you, Co, who put that page together? It's good, though, that whoever worked on it made it look like a group effort by all of us. Also, it's interesting that we're all apparently an Aries and in a relationship. I guess that's better than saying in our profiles that we "Don't Want Kids!" Obviously, that profile is intended to make it look like it's Kat's own profile--and maybe RCA is the one that set it up?

Good job, too, in putting some of the best media of Kat up there recently. Hopefully Kat's seen the page and realizes what the street teams will potentially do for her sales. I truly believe in that process as long as it's gone about in the right way. Some of the marketing ideas we've all created here are truly the best way without having to invent a Katmobile and drive like crazypeople through our neighborhood streets blaring our horn.

Not happy to see that Kat's no longer in the top 100 on the Amazon best sellers for her upcoming CD! She was in the mid-eighties earlier today and in the 70's the day before. Wish they would drop her single or divulge some info on the CD to help promote more presales.

Let's not worry or dwell on the pre-sales numbers right now. They are virtually meaningless one month before the drop. There are alot of promotional activities from now until then and the last two weeks or less will mean something. I think we will see numbers drop and stay consistent after the single is released. Andrea Bocelli/Katharine duet is released tomorrow and that won't hurt either.

Count me in for street team. Thanks.

You guys did a great job on creating that page. Dare I say it's even better than the one RCA put together for Kat? Having the linked youtube media for her recent 'IHN' is important and something RCA should be doing on her official page.

Anyway, whoever checks the friend requests--look out for mine pretty soon. I also intend to contact the same radio stations I tried to contact this last summer to get them interested in the upcoming single/album. It was a fruitless endeavour the first time because of the refusal from Clear Channel stations to play the single. But, as I said before, it'll be different now. Any push that can make them play it more than it inevitably will get--is, of course, all the better.

I was joking about the Katmobile, but it makes me wonder what kind of reaction it'd get if someone created such a thing. I bet it'd get more response than the ice cream trucks do. Besides, if you disguise yourself as an ice cream truck (and actually serve something to people in the process), it'd be quite a unique marketing move.

Well, I studied marketing--and I know the subtle types work the best. That's why those little cards left on tables and things is a brilliant idea. It's a way to do it without having to actually hand it to somebody. Besides, the art of self-discovery is what truly sells a product.
