Oh, Greg . . . you are too quick to read.  I have since edited my rambling letter, based on some suggestions from my own trusted advisors

Really?  They don't know what the hell they're talking about... you should have left it.  Hee hee *snicker, snicker*

Kat,

I've been watching and re-watching your Somos Novios duet with Andrea, and it's startling and a bit disconcerting how emotional it is for me every time.  I've written to you before, each time busily trying to make you laugh, because embarrassing myself in the middle of making bad jokes is nothing compared to embarrassing myself while expressing genuine emotions.  Distract people with silliness to avoid the risk of humiliation.  But you'll never know me, so I have nothing to lose

Your vocals on the JCPenney Jam Concert nearly brings me to tears everytime I watch your performance.  I can understand why your Dad cries whenever you sing.  You were beyond incredible, Kat, just amazingly superb, absolutely breathtaking.  As a fan who has been cheering you all the way and waiting for your "real," non-American Idol moment to arrive, it's just overwhelming to see it happen, and so soon.

I know it's only one appearance very early in your career, but for me it's some sort of validation.  It's something your fans can point to as irrefutable evidence, undeniable proof that you are as incredible as we knew from day one.  It's our I-told-you-so moment, for lack of a better description.

The fact that you were in a line-up of already-established recording artists is such an accomplishment.  Then to have two songs air in the single televised hour thrills me to no end.  You and your family and friends must be so proud!

Now, I know this must all be so overwhelming to you, even though performing is all you've dreamed of.  A lot of your fans want to witness you becoming the biggest star in the world.  Me?  I'd love that, because the more successful you are, the more I'd get to see you.  But honestly, I see you as just a young lady who wants to be happy and normal.  So I'd be satisfied if you could be as successful as you want to be in the business, and I'd like you to be able to pick and choose projects close to your heart.

You have a bunch of McPhans scattered all around the world who only want what's best for you.  That's not too shabby, is it?

Okay, this letter is already pretty damned long, and if you got this far, you deserve a laugh or at least a little chuckle.  I went online at JCPenney.com to order the concert DVD/CD because there are no JCPenney stores in Hawaii anymore.  (Interesting side note, we don't have the stores anymore, but we still get their commercials on TV.  What the hell?)  I ordered one set for me and one for a friend.  I was thrilled to receive them in the mail today, after having just placed the order 4 days ago.  I excitedly tore into the package only to find Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw smiling up at me.  In my rush, I had accidentally ordered the Dr. Phil thing instead.

Now, I get that the McGraws were very nice to you and all, Kat, but what would I do with his DVD, let alone, TWO sets?  I'm single, and I own a dog.  I asked him, and he said he doesn't care about afterschool programs, just something about being hungry and wanting biscuits.  So now they're already packed up and ready to be returned tomorrow, and my JCPenney Jam Concert DVDs should be on their way.  If accidentally ordering 2 sets of Dr. Phil DVDs doesn't prove my love for you, nothing will.

P.S.  I don't expect you to wear them all the time, because that would make it less special... but you think... maybe... just maybe... you could wear the glasses sooner rather than later?  You'd make many people very, very happy.

There's more 'they's in there than in covert underground governments.

Somehow I sense the Katfia is behind something here...and I hope someone isn't going to sleep with the goldfish before the 'whatever' is over.

I'll get a new letter written this weekend, Co. It's going to be a busy next few days for me in various ways--but Part 4 should be here before the deadline.

Possibly up next: 'Tour bus vs. flying...or taking your own car.'

Dear Kat,

How are you doing? Honestly, I don't know what's going on with you anymore.. it's like I'm cursed to live over here.  I can't download videos.. all I can do is read reviews. Which are much better when they come from your Phamily itself. So, anyway, I'm guessing and believing that all is well with you.

I've been reading reviews from non-Kat Phans I know on different boards that are now changing their minds about you.. isn't it lovely to know people are finally learning the truth? Have you ever wondered what would've happened if they all believed right from the start?  Well, I think this was Destiny.. they've recognised you through your hardships and it only makes them feel more love for you than what they may have felt before.. because their love.. is also filled with sorrow.. for the way they misjudged you... for the things they've missed... for the things they might've lost.

Coming to that, it seems like you're gaining a large army over here. By the time you get this, we probably would've crossed 4000 users on this board alone.

What I'm coming to say is... I think it's time for me to throw in the towel. Well, considering I haven't really done much at all.. I'm probably just throwing in a moist napkin. It's time I finally moved on to my life.. Being on these boards supporting you.. has been the happiest time of my life. I've dreaded moving on so much. But, now, I think it's inevitable.. if I don't leave.. I'll just be hiding from my fears. I have things I need to take care of.. things I've been ignoring for a long while. Things that I would hate to actually tell. But, your whole life.. has taught me not to fear those fears...
I'd rather go now, and do this.. or regret it for the rest of my life.

So, I really don't know why I'm writing this to you.. Maybe it's my way of closure.. I really don't know. I think I should unregister now.. It's really been a blast.... I haven't had as much fun in years.

I'll always be supporting you, but from now on, my support will only be in thought..

Thanks for everything Kat, you truly are a wonder..
Wishing you all the luck and love in the world,
Your Phan Phor life,
Yuvaram

I need to write Katharine a new letter...I did it once before back a few weeks ago...now that I have a whole new level of experience with this whole thing...hmm, I need to write her something new.

I'll work on it.  That was actually my plan to write her something new after my two shows.  I didn't anticipate the stuff that happened at show #2 happening though so...this letter might be a little different.  HA!

"I saw Katharine McPhee when there were about 12 contestants left on American Idol. She blew me away. I loved her grace, her style, her poise, her voice and her hair! I wanted her to be the face of Sexy Hair because she represented everything that I had in my head for the brand: youth, beauty, talent, class, a young sophistication, and sexiness." -- Jim Morrison, CEO of Sexy Hair Products.
