09/06/2006 8:30 PM Alert

Sorry to report back that I won't be able to post pictures from the Denver concert.

Even sorrier to report the reason. When my daughter (who drove the 3 hours back to Wyoming last night after the concert) got home from work today, her house had been broken into and of course the binoculars with the digital camera are gone...Along with many other electronics and worst of all, one of her two beloved kitties (who are indoor cats), is gone!

If by any chance the incompetent cops in that tiny town actually find out who did it (the second time in two weeks) perhaps she will get the bincoluars back! Also, she is the manager of a fast food store in town and a couple of "Low-Lifes" came in last week, and told her they had done it the first time...then they came back later when she was not there in the store and started a fight so that the cops were called! Yes, I'm screamin' angry!!!

McPhans, please say a prayer that this mess is cleared up and that her kitty makes it safely back to her!

Thanks so much!!!

So sorry to hear that, Moms4Kat   I hope your daughter is doing well in spite of what happened.  I'm an animal lover, so her missing cat bothers me most.  I know the stolen items are "only" material things, but I'm sure it adds to the stress of everything having these photos taken away.  Feeling like nothing is being done about it makes it that much worse.  Hang in there, I hope things get better fast

"Haha! I love your comments. You just wait there will be more of Kat in Glasses! ha! I love the pic of Nena in glasses. DID you do that? Clever is so! XX kat"

I am so sorry to hear that happened to your daughter. I hope she gets everything back, and I am also most concerned about the kitty. Hopefully we'll get a good report back from you soon, that the cops caught them and all of stolen goods were returned. You and your daughter take care!.

That's terrible, Moms, at what happened to your daughter. I've been around people (in small towns) who've had nightmare scenarios like that with lowlifes who think they're above the police. And, sorry to say, the police don't always do enough in those scenarios, for whatever reason. Law enforcement isn't perfect in America now--though I still support them for what they do. It could be a lot worse if they weren't around at all.

Anyway, our prayers go out that it gets straightened out for your family. We were looking forward to seeing media of Kat in Denver--but it can wait when more important situations occur like this.

Your written review really gave a great overview of the night. And we're hearing from others that Kat apparently got winded a bit because of the lower oxygen levels. People forget how many deep breaths she has to take to hit those high notes--and it apparently affected how she approached the final "I" note in 'OtR.'

I've always been a proponent, though, of keeping bottled water near you on stage when performing--no matter the climate. Kat's taken from the classier form of performing where you don't bring out a bottle of Evian and set it on the floor next to the mic stand. But undoubtedly she drank a lot of water before coming out to perform.

Let us know updates on your daughter's situation...and all the best to you.

Edit: I concur with Phee below about cats. The family cat I grew up with used to take off and hide for several days sometimes, then show up at the doorstep. I think your cats were probably scared and ran off to hide somewhere. Because of this, keep up hope they're ok. Hearing about the distress of animals also disturbs me greatly...so please keep us updated.

So sorry to hear about your troubles.I have 2 kats myself so I know how your daughter must be feeling. Mine have gone missing occassionally too and right when you are about to give up on them, they saunter in, non-chalant as you please. I have high hopes that the kat will come back. They really do have nine lives.

Please keep us posted.

I want you to know that we have you and your daughter in our prayers, and hoping for your cat's soon return.

Movie actors like Paul Newman, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Bette Davis make me want to live in the era they lived but I could have been just as inspired even now while I watch their work in films.

All of us who cohabit with cats (except that Phee has kats) sympathize. I can't say own cats because I'm not sure it works that way. Hope everything, electronic and feline, shows up again sooner or later.
