PROUD TO REPRESENT

in 4 days, it's tacoma, wa.

tacoma is the 2nd biggest city in washington state next to seattle.

all seattle venues are occupied and only tacoma dome (larger though) is available.

i'll have to drive about 30-40 minutes down on the famous I-5, but on this date traffic would be a major problem, i think. so seattlelites, come down to tacoma 3 hours in advance at least.

any fans around here coming to the dome?
i'd like to see how many lurk here......  it would be exciting.....to find out.

it looks like i'm the only regular seattlelite on this thread. it's ok. i know i'll see everybody there. they're probably at the dome now busy volunteering for the event....LOL (edited: arden15 is also a fan, she replied to this).

hey, portlanders, you're only 2 hours away.....and i love your city as well.
let us know what's going on. greg, i know you're from there. you're up in 3 days!!

Movie actors like Paul Newman, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Bette Davis make me want to live in the era they lived but I could have been just as inspired even now while I watch their work in films.

Yeah, Mattsie, it's only three days now--and there seems to be mystery shrouding it at the moment. But I'm looking forward to hearing Kat perform in the Rose Garden Arena Friday night.  I assume you've been in there? The acoustics are fairly echoey--and how they compare to the Tacoma Dome, I don't know.  I'm expecting to see the very top seats empty, because they're always empty...no matter who's performing there. It's either that or sell oxygen tanks in the lobby to take up with you. And then there's that vertigo feeling when you're looking down.

That's what arenas that hold 21,000 people will do to you.

I've seen the Tacoma Dome a lot of times when driving up I-5 to go to Washington, though I've never attended a concert there. I've heard some people say it isn't the most comfortable venue in the world either. So I'm surprised 'AI' didn't rent out the Key Arena in Seattle first. It seems a lot of tours lately, though, are skipping over that arena and going to Tacoma instead for whatever reason.

Too bad you didn't come down to Portland to see the show the night before. I think I'm the only active person from this board at the Portland show (other than I think one other semi-regular)--so most of the audience will be strangers to me. Though I'm bound to see maybe a few people I know from my area.

Well, Kat probably won't even see me...because I'm sitting quite a way from the stage--despite still being on the lower level. I do have a casual orange jersey I'll be wearing, though, to represent. Then again, that might be a little warm considering it'll be about 90 degrees that day in Portland.

I suppose I could have gone to the Tacoma show too--though I've never been crazy about driving long distances for concerts. I always want to go home after a concert and not a hotel. I'm just not a hotel person. Though I'd probably make the trek home anyway and arrive home at 3 in the morning.

Have a great time at the concert if I don't talk to you before then.

Mattsie-What is your opinion of the T Dome for this concert? I realize it as not as centralized as the Key Arena, but I was glad they moved it away from The Everett Events Center. The last two years I attended the A I concerts there and was a bit concerned about the lack of attendance - especially the first year. Maybe you were there too. I think this location should help that. I think on the whole, this is a more talented and diversified group from A I which should help some too. I don't want the sponsors deciding it's not worth a stop here. Of course the Dome is a bit old.
I always enjoy your graphics and descriptive writings. You've got this page looking great!

Hi Arden, I sent you an email. Thanks for the compliment. I didn't go to Everett. This is the first year I'm on any fansite boards and my first idol concert ever ---all and only because of Katharine McPhee. I plan to go early, hope to see you there, we'll figure out something. The T-dome is alright I suppose with the parking and all. It's Washington state I realize, it's not New York. I hope it will be an enjoyable concert with a lot of showing from the audience. Thanks again.

I'm making this page somewhat entertaining, can you tell? So more lurkers can be enticed to post, at least they have pics and music. I just added the SOTR and the Somos Novios to my Katharine Jukebox, can you hear it playing? I had it automatically playing on link opening. Don't forget to watch her on the photo gallery too. My tribute to her.

Hi Greg, thanks for your reply. Enjoy your concert, and hopeflly you get good shots and records. I agree with you on the Key Arena. I really wished it was there instead, ah well, we can suggest next time to the AI management. No, I haven't been to Rose Garden yet. I had a ticket to see the P.Blazers before but I gave it to somebody because I couldn't make it. Thanks again.
