We who were lucky to be at this concert were thinking of you all as 10,000 orange glows lit Staples center in LA for Kat's AWESOME Homecoming. Here's Kat's  first song BHCT.

Thanks, Minnie, for posting that so fast.  Kat once again makes 'Black Horse' into something unique--and she's pretty much doing the 'Whoo-hoos' on the offbeats in each performance now to make it different. I can't say enough (well, there never seems to be enough ) about how Kat uses her musicality in making songs like 'Black Horse' multi-dimensional. Lesser singers would only sing each lyric on the beat rather than playing around with singing ahead and behind the beat. Even KT Tunstall pretty much sings her song on the beat without the adventurous places Kat takes it.

I'm sure we'll be seeing some footage of the orange glowsticks apparently seen during 'OtR.' Reportedly, they could still be seen by Kat...despite the inevitable confiscation of most of them by security. According to reports from V--the orange glow was quite a sight.

I assume the crowd response was quite loud, even though it didn't pick up tremendously on this vid when Kat called out to her hometown. It seems a lot of the audience there were out-of-towners anyway. And I guess that makes sense since most true L.A'ers would have been too busy trying to pitch their script to an agent at home...or at the concert.

Looking forward to more footage when you get it. Even some footage of the attempts to avoid the security to get the glowsticks in would be fun to see...

Nice work uploading that so quickly, Minnie!

By all accounts, it was very difficult to capture the small orange glowsticks on video and pictures. A lot of people did try, though, so we'll see if we get some good ones coming in.

On your quote above--you mean Kat reprised 'Black Horse' immediately--or she went right into 'Think' (as she did in SD)? I think you said in your online recap that the best response came during 'OtR'--which would obviously be the best scenario.

From everybody's reports, the whole event was still successful despite the inevitable security problems. That security overzealousness was what I worried about--but I give credit to the McTeam for smuggling some in anyway. I've heard 2000 sticks were still visible--though that's unconfirmed.

Is it true you saw Dolph involved in the confiscation, V? Somehow I suspected he'd be a part of something that would give everybody fits.
