To Katharine on the road: I posted this a day or so ago after we all learned that you'd be out a few more days. "It's easy for me to talk because I'm not missing a concert, but it's obvious that this condition was more serious than we thought at first. I'm glad she has a strict doctor and that she's listening to him. Let the doubters doubt and the haters hate, the rest of us can pray and hope and send up a rainbow of good thoughts and positive energy. "Someone posted a series of composite pictures in one of the other forums, and one of them, it seems to me, is a perfect visual aid for such imagery: it shows her standing beneath a rainbow, singing for all she's worth. We should all keep that image strongly in mind, seeing her whole and well and singing her heart out, easily and comfortably and safely. I truly believe that where two or more are gathered in a common purpose, and have faith that all will work for the best, wonderful things can occur. We might also click our heels together and say in unison "There's no place like The Idol Tour." Well, it worked for Dorothy... " If you're reading this, it worked! Go break a leg, kid! (I hope your mom or someone passed that old theater tradition down to you so you won't think I'm a total maniac. For years I had a neck chain with a "Break A Leg" logo on it, and it looked a lot like your Idol necklace.) A big Welcome Back from Groucho in Motown.

Hi Kellie, Thank you sooo much for holding on to Kat's letters for her while she is sick. Last saturday 7/15/06, that was me who handed you a package for Kat during the Meet and Greet. Thank you soo much for being soo kind and holding on to everything. I hoped you liked the NY souverneirs that were in the bag for you. I loved the opportunity of meeting you. You are soo sweet, and I loved watching you perform during the concert- you did awesome. Cute story you told us about coming to NY and how you wanted to see "THE BIG APPLE" and how you thought that maybe there was an Apple Museum here. Very funny. I also watched you on "THE VIEW' this Monday, and you did such an awesome job. Congrats. on signing a record deal and lots of luck to you in your future. I hoped you enjoyed your time in NY. Katharine- Ever since your audition in San Fransisco for AI, I wanted you to win not just because of your unbeatable talent, but for your "girl next door" vibe that you sent across the country. As my friends and I sat and watched the finale of AI, I think we all were heartbroken to see that you hadn't won. I think I was even more broken when I walked in to Continental Air Lines Arena and saw a sign informing us that you would not be performing that night due to illness. But I bought a shirt with you on it, the huge poster of you, a keychain i keep on my car keys, and the program. I know, a little overboard, but whatever. As soon as I got home, I went on and reserved tickets to you're show in CT at the end of September just to see you in concert. I just hope I'll be able to make it up there from Jersey. You're probably one of my favorite artists out there right now. Not just that, but you really are an inspiration for girls throughout the country and I hope you do big things. Actually, I know you'll do big things. I can't wait to get your first CD when it comes out. Best of luck with all you do. I'll be writing you again soon. Hopefully you will be able to write back. Dear Kellie- Just a word of heartfelt thanks for helping the McPhans/KatPack out by delivering our letters to Katharine when she returns to the Tour!. It is so sweet and generous of you. You are so delightful, talented and funny. I wish you many blessings for your career. I caught you on the View the other day and you were terrific. It was no "easy gig" I am sure but you definitely held your own! I especially loved your song by Martina, it sounded great!So thanks again Kellie. Hi Kellie!!! First of all, may I say how funny you are?? Girl, you should totally have your own TV show, I'm sure it would be a huge success!! The other day I was watching (on the internet) the video of you interviewing people at the MTV Movie Awards' red carpet... and I laughed so hard! Specially when you showed Keanu Reeves your Matrix "move". Well, that said, I have to tell you that I think you're also a very talented singer, and I wish you all the best in your career - and life. I heard you got a record deal, so congrats!! I'm so happy for you!! I'm definitely buying your album when it comes out! =) Dear, thank you so much for keeping our letters to Kat with you and handing them to her when she joins the tour... It means a LOT, and I'm sure you know that. We can't thank you enough. I hope you appreciate our letters, and hope you're having a good time on the concerts... I wish I could go see you guys, but unfortunately I live too far away -> Brazil (btw, you should come visit, we have all these beautiful beaches and stuff... hehe and make sure you bring Kat with you. I'll be glad to be your guide tour. LOL!) Oh, and just for the record, I'm sure Prince William would love you if you two had the chance to meet! So I'll keep my fingers crossed for this to happen ok? Dearest Kellie. Can I gush enough on how likable you are!?!? I'm a big Katfan..but you're goofiness, and charisma has always caught my attention. No wonder Kat considers you such a great friend. I've heard nothing but the best things from you, and fan encounters, and I just wanted to say thank you so much for being true to yourself, and being a great friend to Kat in general.
