i haven't seen anyone tell about a full concert experience..so for those of you who couldn't go, hopefully this wil be like you were there!

this is probably the longest forum writing in history...so i am extremely sorry.
(im not using great writing skills, because i am running through this fast, am extremely tired...and i broke my foot and ankle at the end of the concert on a curb...something clumsy...i feel your pain katharine)


the concert started at 7:15 exactly

mandisa opened the show with "im every woman" and she looked and sounded amazing! i think they sound even better live!
then she dedicated a song to rueben studdard, her crush.."if i was your woman". it was so sweet and the crowd cheered and cheered.
after that she talked about how someone big (and she pointed up) had a plan for her and that was the reason she was here and that he also had a plan for everyone of us, and she talked about dreaming big. it was awesome!! everyone cheered when she said that which was awesome.
she then sang a duet with ace "angel" and it was great. chill bumps! that song is by the famous celine dion.

ace sang that duet and then performed the AI cd song "father figure". it was good! then he sang "harder to breathe" by maroon 5 and jumped all over the place. (he can jump really high! over things!) that was the song where he made a big deal about shaking his hair and  putting on his beanie. ..and throwing it to the crowd once the song was done.

lisa then came out and sang "signed, sealed, delivered (im yours)" i love that song! then she sang "your song" (elton john) and played the piano/keyboard. it was really awesome, and i was surprised at how well she could play. then she sang "someone saved my life tonight" (elton john) and she played the keyboard again and it was really good.

she introduced her best friend paris and they sang a duet " waterfalls' (TLC) and it was very cute! they danced with smooth moves, like a waterall i guess, and it was cute seeing the "best friends" together! then paris shook her booty and sang "crazy in love" by beyonce! she is the best dancer! she was great. she can dance like beyonce. she even pulled the chair out and put a hat on. all the young girls loved that one of course because they all knew the song! i think EVERYONE in the crowd was standing when she sang that. then she wanted to "go back to her hometowm' by singing "midnight train to georgia" and it was really good.

after that bucky came out and sang "superstitious", his AI cd song. then he sang a country song, which i didnt know.  he then sang "dirft away" (uncle cracker)...which is the "wanna get lost in your rock and roll" song. it was okay!
and then he sang a duet with kellie! "your the one that i want" (from grease). it was very cute and they danced like they did in the actual movie. she sang another country song (one that she sang in one of the finals i think) and i can't remember the name. then she sang "walkin after midnight", her AI cd song. it was very cute. she didn't seem as energetic as normal, but still she was herself..very funny and country! she said "i know who all of you are waiting to see!" because the top 4 came after that and of course it was birmingham, so taylor fans galore.

INTERMISSION

the american idol video came on and the band played the theme song. it was awesome and made you feel like you were actually at the real show. (that happened at the beginning too)

Chris came on and did his rock n roll thing where he picked up the microphone stand and went all over the stage, it was cool.  he started out with "renegade" (by Styx) which pumped up the crowd. it was great, but he screamed way too much..he had to get water!..? lights were flashing non stop...it was cool. then he sang "wanted dead or alive", his AI cd song. that one was good and he played guitar. then he sang another rock song..i will try to remember! (and maybe post later). then he did 1 more song with Elliot! a duet.."savin me" (by nickelback)  it was very good with all the harmonizing.

elliot then sang "moodys mood for love" and one other song.
then the previous guys who had sang plus elliot (ace, bucky, chris, elliot) sang the "patience" song..i don't know the exact name...but everyone was SO ready for KAT AND TAYLOR to come on!!! and it was cool becuse bucky and chris were playing guitar and they all sang and harmonized.

Katharine!!  right when the lights went off all you could see were millions of glowsticks and cell phones. it was a really cool sight. about 10 seconds later "two, three, four!" and the lights shined and then a million camera flashes went off! she looked so amazing! she had on a black dress to the floor and just looked stunning. i cannot even describe the feeling of seeing her in person!!! i was so busy taking pictures and singing and dancing! the crowd was crazy during that song!
after that kat told everyone about having laryngitus and missing 3 weeks of the tour and how sorry she was, but it was doctors orders. then she said "okay..and..i had a little clumsy moment!" and then lifted her dress to her knee and lifted her foot up! it was so cute! everyone got a laugh out of that one because she said she was runing backstage! she explained she could only sing 2 solo songs, doctors orders.
AND! during the silent part right after the started talking i screamed as loud as i could "I LOVE YOU KATHARINE!!!!" and she waved in my direction and gave a huge smile! that was awesome!!  she sang "somewhere over the rainbow" and it was so BEAUTIFUL!  the clearest song of the night...it was perfect. they did close ups  on her face the whole time and she looked absoutely stunning. when she was done with the song the applause were very, very long! she then said "I hope you guys enjoy the rest of the show, and I know who you are dying to see...i would have voted for him too!!" (something like that)

she exited the stage and all of a sudden the same thing happened to taylor that happened to kat. it was all dark for about 10 seconds and all of a sudden, i swear, you hear "jailhouse rock" and you hear taylor singing but you cannot see him! i was on an aisle..amazing seats...and he comes down the aisle right beside me and i touch his purple suede jacket! I am the BIGGEST KAT FAN YOU WILL EVER MEET, but i still like taylor because he is just a cool guy. so that was definitly a highlight too! the crowd went wild and he rocked the hosue with that song. then he sang "livin for the city" (by stevie wonder) and it was great. he sang another one and i cant believe i cannot remember! by the way during some of those songs he played electric guitar and it sounded great. he then whipped out his harmonica and tamborine. he danced so crazy and went all over, because the songs lasted longer than normal so he could dance a lot. after that he talked about the troops and how great they were and dedicated "do i make you proud' to them. it was very emotional to the whole crowd.  he sang one more which was his AI cd song "takin it to the streets" it was very good.
after that 8 of the idols came out (everyone except the top 2...kat and taylor) and sang "we are the champions'. then kat and taylor come out doing their grind dance in the middle of the upper stage (like usual) in the song "living in america"  it was very fun and i loved everyone together on stage. at the end of the song they danced off stage. then they came back and bowed and names were said while everyone was cheering. it was amazing! it was the best concert ever.

at the end i saw all of the idols getting on to the bus and i was so close the katharine again, and it was awesome! of course everyone was screaming but they had to get going. it was a 3 hour and 10 minute concert!



something about taylor and some girl...
okay, so the people i was sitting by..about 3 women..late 40's, early 50's. taylor hicks was an employee of one of the ladies a few years ago and taylor wanted to date her daughter. the daughter said no and the lady was trying to figure out a way to tell him that she changed her mind. (what an idiot that girl is...seriously!) my friend and i were thinking "yeah, im sure he really cares!...?" ha anyways, the 3 ladies had a lot to drink and were crazy the whole time (and had bad breath when they talked to us), and thats all i will say about that subject.

AMAZING concert!
all i really needed to say was "KATHARINE WAS AMAZING"!

i did get pictures! 48 pictures.
 at first my battery was dead...and it magically turned on..it was a miracle! ha ha!  i really hope they turned out great...(just because of all the lights could have messed them up).
 i will try to have these up by tomorrow or friday! most of my pictures are of katharine of course, and then taylor and all of the idols in a group together.

i am so sad...i didn't. ....my digital camera broke a week ago and I had to use a normal camera! and my friend didn't bring her AMAZING digital camera which zooms like a mile! i am sorry, i was dissapointed, but i am just so grateful my battery worked!

Yes, it is good to hear that Katharine was well received in Taylor country.  I think that some of us were probably a little too worried about the crazies out there that inhabit the Internet.  Those people represent a very small percentage of the people out there. 

Although I still admit I was a little worried about Katharine's run through the South.  But it appears there was nothing to worry about and they are heading north into Nashville, Columbus, Milwaukee...Detroit.  Those areas so...interesting to see the reactions there since they aren't really hometowns of anybody.  Although isn't Mandisa from Tennessee?

Did I hear this right...somebody said the show is over 3 hours long?  Really?  Wow...and this is with Katharine only doing two songs?  I wonder if the guys' medley will get dropped when Katharine adds a couple of songs.  Because that's a long show.  Especially with as many kids as there probably are in the crowd.

Because I did see the report about Taylor going on around 9:30...the show starts at 7...he probably does 25-30 minutes...plus the encore.  Yeah, that would be more than three hours.  So Katharine's probably in the 9:15 p.m. range at this point it seems.

the show started at 7:15 and ended at 10:05 or 10:10. it was glad that it was that long..i could have watched them forever! i do think mandisa is from tennessee. she got many applause and everyone loved her songs. she brought a lot of energy to start the show with "im every woman". the people cheered mostly for Katharine, taylor, chris, elliot, and mandisa.
