I'm hoping the web casts are archived also. I couldn't figure out (no surprise there) how to download the web cast as it was running. I did have time to try and figure it out because they were 17 minutes late in starting. I think they were giving time for more people to show up....maybe even some of the guests! Deborah Norville (who did an excellent job starting the convention) mentioned thanks for those who were able to attend regardless of the difficulties the fires were creating in getting around Southern California.
It's really bad out there people....Gov. Schwarzenegger was out with the fire fighters rather than appearing with first guest Tony Blair. They did do a live onsite interview with him and he was able to answer some of the moderators questions regarding the fire and how it was being handled.
I spoke to my friends yesterday afternoon and so far (in TierraSanta..southeast of Del Mar) they were okay. Everyone had been asked to stay home so as to leave the freeways open for evacuees, emergency vehicles, etc. On that note, I notice one of our daily contributers to this site hasn't checked in with us. I hope everything is okay with you, a3boymom!
Until we can get a video from someone (please!), Katharine wore a white, street length dress with a cummerbund waist and short puffy sleeves. Her hair was "stick straight"...the latest style, I guess. I happen to prefer a little softer, fuller look for her hair. That's just me. I couldn't tell what color her shoes were!
