Well it's Katharine & Jennifer Hudson so I think he has to show it before the Academy Awards show for it to make any sense.  I believe Katharine taped it back on February 9th unless they scrapped the taping.  I don't think they'd leave her hanging like this and I'm sure she wants to be on the show.  So I'm guessing it's just being held until this Anna Nicole stuff dies down.  Like that'll ever happen.

"I saw Katharine McPhee when there were about 12 contestants left on American Idol. She blew me away. I loved her grace, her style, her poise, her voice and her hair! I wanted her to be the face of Sexy Hair because she represented everything that I had in my head for the brand: youth, beauty, talent, class, a young sophistication, and sexiness." -- Jim Morrison, CEO of Sexy Hair Products.

Larry King has Anna Nicole related stuff on again today because there is a court case to determine who gets the body. After that, what's left? Yeah, the Academy Awards are next Sunday, so it should be this week, hopefully. It's likely JHUD will get the Oscar, so it would be a bigger draw to have an Oscar winner on his show. Maybe next week? Katharine will then be back in LA.

What will be the next tabloid junk story to commandeer the air waves and keep us stupid and titilated while the world falls apart?

Britney Spears's head-shaving and tattoo - Larry interviewed Brit's tattoo artist and ET's Jann Carl last night, along with James Brown's widow.

I saw part of Larry King's interview with Jennifer Hudson and Clive Davis a weekend or two ago, so that's already in the can; I would think Kat's interview was taped, also.

I think Larry King took Kat off of his list completely. I don't think it is going to be rescheduled.

Didn't Larry used to be a serious journalist?!?

Not that I ever heard. For at least the last 20 years, I have been turning off his show whenever accidentally confronted with it.

He is utterly without wit, charm, knowledge, humour, insight...any other desirable qualities you might want in an interviewer/host.

I assume his primary audience is even duller, less informed. and more witess than he is.

That he still has a show is as baffling to me as that Bush is still President.

I will be very happy if Katharine never appears on his idiot show, that just devoted a whole week to the death of a fatuous nonentity like Anna Nicole Smith.

My sentiments exactly.  I was so happy that Larry wasn't there when Taylor and Katharine appeared on the show shortly after the AMIDOL finale last year.  It would be fine if she appeared when a talented guest host is on, but I can't see Larry King conducting any sort of memorable interview.....with anyone!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Katharine say in a video blog that she pre-taped the show right after all of the Anna Nicole Smith stuff happened and she didn't know when it would air?

Just because (if) it was taped, doesn't necessarily mean that it will ever air.  If Larry King did this interview, I can't see it being very informative or entertaining.

I really don't care about this Larry King appearance anymore. If Larry doesn't want to have Kat on his show, then that's his problem, His loss. Katharine's doing better and exciting things right now anyway, who cares about Larry King.

Larry King lost his "touch" if you will. He's just as entertaining as the guest he has on. I think if he had Katharine on it would be a good show. Larry King himself is boring...but with a guest he's kind of entertaining. I would have loved to see Katharine on his show but if it never airs I will be ok with that.

Well, Kat can't share the bill with Jennifer Hudson--because JH would likely get the whole hour now that she's won the Oscar. It's truly incredible, actually, that Jennifer made history with that win tonight. I hate to even make race any issue when it comes to winning an Oscar...but you know the media plays that up.

Maybe this makes it a better bet for Kat to get a whole hour devoted to her now. Both of them are in their own elements now and shouldn't be lumped together on the same show. It's not fair to Kat to have an Oscar winner on the same show with her. If they taped the show weeks ago...then it might have some interesting relevancy based on what happened later. But Larry King never shows a show that was taped two weeks prior. The live phone calls are a part of the show ("Hello Topeka...go!" ) and would ruin the fabric of what makes LK work so well.

I'd say that they still intend to have her on--but it'll be contingent on events. Now that Anna Nicole Smith is supposedly going to finally get buried...maybe his show will return to normal somewhat. When SNL parodies CNN doing too much coverage, I'm sure CNN got the hint.

When it comes to appearing on a talk show from a cable news channel, they probably warn the guests that they could be cut at a moment's notice. When other news events warrant it...any guest is vulnerable to being bumped. I've seen guests come in and get cut in the first few minutes based on a breaking story too. I'm sure that makes the stars' publicists livid, but that's the risk of doing these type of shows.  They probably hold their tongue to still get the valuable international publicity it brings...

I agree, who really cares, except that it is good exposure for Katharine. The down side is that she wouldn't be performing. I have stopped hoping for this appearance.

Now now Phee,      with others.    I have watched Larry King many times and think he has alot of interesting guests despite his flat personality, and I'm neither dull, uninformed or witless...

in my mind the ultimate "Idol" contestant of the pre-lapsarian era, the one who most perfectly combined the demands for relentless emotive singing and the wow factor -- Katharine McPhee

Just because it is scheduled doesn't mean that it is going to air. And even if it is, it will probably be a taping so we can't call in anyway. I don't believe it and like I said in my above post, I really don't care. I am not going to get high hopes again and then have them shot down.

People Larry King has a massive audience...so whether or not you like him, it's still a great opportunity for Katharine to be seen by a lot of people.  And I'd think they'd have to redo these interviews...at least the Jennifer Hudson part since she's won the Oscar now.

LKL did have non-Anna Nicole stuff on today I believe (Laura Bush I think) and then Nancy Pelosi is going to be on tomorrow.  So I think he's slowly getting away from Anna Nicole.  So hopefully that Tuesday, March 6th thing happens.

It' be nice to get confirmation from Kat herself in like a video blog or bulletin of this appearance actually happening, that way we won't get excited come Tuesday if nothing happens. I don't hate LK, I just find it ignorant for awhile, it seemed like he wasn't going to have Katharine on. The Anna Nicole thing was saddening, I know but it's been 2 weeks, time to focus on more positive things.

It does say on CNN's web site for Larry King that Katharine WILL be on this coming Tuesday, March 6th.  And she's the only guest mentioned so maybe she's getting the whole hour.  For some reason I'm doubting that but...that would be nice.
