OK, we lost Danny, Luke, Asia'h and Kady this evening, leaving us with the Top 12.  Nobody was perfect this week with their picks.  We did have 8 players get 3 of 4 elimination picks though so that's pretty impressive.  If Amanda wouldn't have pulled out a good performance some of us may have been perfect.  Oh well.  Here's the new standings:

So next week we will be doing our Top 12 Ballots.  No need for a separate elimination pick unless for some reason you want to have somebody different than you have in the 12th place spot.  If you do, you can do that but...well, let me know if you want to hedge your bets I guess.

Alright, this is how it'll work...

1) Everybody lists the Top 12 in the order they think it's going to end up.  For example:

7. Ace Young

8. Paris Bennett

9. Bucky Covington

10. Kevin Covais

11. Melissa McGhee

12. Taylor Hicks

  And then you'll receive points for how accurate you are with your picks as the weeks go by.  For next week, a perfect pick will get you 1 point (well 2 points since you'll have the elimination pick right).  And anything but perfect gets you 0.  Each week is worth 1 more point.  Top 11 is worth 2 points...if you have that spot correct you'll get 2.  If the person that goes 11th is in 10th or 12th on your ballot you'll get 1 point.  If you've got him/her 9th or higher, you'll get 0 points.  And it continues from there up until the finale where we'll have an 11-point max on the 2nd place finisher and 12 points for the champion.

For example, the ballot above would receive...0 points for 12th (Melissa), 1 point for 11th (Kevin, one off), 0 points for 10th (Lisa), 0 points for 9th (Mandisa), 4 points for 8th (Bucky), 6 points for 7th (Ace, perfect), 6 points for 6th (Kellie, one off), 5 points for 5th (Paris, three off), 7 points for 4th (Chris, two off), 10 points for 3rd (Elliott, perfect), 10 points for 2nd (Katharine, one off) and 0 points for 1st (Taylor, 11 off).

Then we'll also have the elimination picks each week worth one bonus point plus Co says she's got some more ideas to keep things interesting and I'm sure she'll share those with you.

Hope that made sense...basically all you have to worry about is filling out your ballots and hope those people finish as close to those spots as possible.  That's what the point system rewards even if you don't understand it. 

Double Post!    So as I was saying...the Top 12 ballots are the majority of the points in the pool so this is the most important week in this thing.  Everyone get your ballots in on time and the rest of the way it's pretty easy for you as players in the pool.

Triple Post!  Wow!  I'm thinking we've got 5 solid guys and maybe 4 solid girls in the Top 12.  I think only about 5 of them have a chance to win even though we all know who the favorite is.  It'll be interesting to see how many people don't put Archuleta in the #1 spot.

LW = Last Week, TW = This Week.  It's what place you were/are in so you can see how much you've moved up or down the standings.

THE TOP 12 BALLOTS -This post is for all American Idol Season 7 Pool Players "Final 12" selections, in order of elimination ballots.

I will be adding everyone's Top 12 selections to this post.  All selections will be due on - Tuesday, March 11 at 4p.m. PDT / 7 p.m. EDT / -  7 a.m. Phillippines/Indonesia Time - Wed, March 12.  Your selection of the Top 12 eliminations can not be changed. 

Throughout the rest of the competition, all Pool Players will select a person who they think will be eliminated each week .  See barlo's example below .  Our CoJo Pool Scorekeeper, Joe, will award points based on how the contestants are eliminated on your Top 12 Ballot.  You will also submit a weekly elimination selection to earn additional points.  Good luck everyone!
