Someone mentioned it in an earlier post that Randy aluded to Melinda "when she records". I wonder if she has already landed a contract or he was assuming that she would be in the finale. She didn't cry when eliminated, just smiled the same smile as she has all season. Actually, Jordin was more shocked than she was. Any label would grab her, but I wonder if it has already been mentioned. I think we can look for a CD before Christmas

Actually i never care about this year winner, bcoz I like them both.. Jordin and Blake is this year Kat n Chris for me. Finally, I have a strong feeling that Jordin 'll get the crown, and i'm happy seeing Blake in Finale too.. Congrats to Them! This is the best top two ever according my personal preference! I mean they're my favorite of this season! It's so nice to know that they're in the finale although I was completely sure that Melinda would have been in the finale and be the winner... Anyway Im so happy for this result and I felt really sorry for Melinda.. She's such a great singer!

Oh dear, Jess, what one thing where we two have different taste?.. All i'm crazy about, that's what you're crazy bout too.. ;p (psst OT: I Hate that Sylar, He always makes my heart wants to go out of my chest every episode). And Bian, you had a really good prediction!!! Melinda is this year Chris Daughty in most Shocking Moment. I Too thought that Melinda was the only one who had have a Golden Ticket to the final from day 1. But as others said, this is American Idol, those who have Talent, Personality, Popularity, and Huge Fan Base go through. Chris becomes Big even after lasted in 4th place. I think Melinda's career can be like Chris's.

I think the top 2 leads because they have more "whole package" thing.. Well, Jordin and Blake are my HEROES! Ahaha... (OOT: I hate Sylar's expression, he's so scary like he's gonna eat you if you have power.. Haha..) Well, for me I was really shocked and so sad for few days when Chris voted off, maybe this because I really like him besides Kat.. Well, the bottom two really shocked me.. Huhuhu... So that is the most shocking elimination for me.. It's way bigger than Melinda's elimination.., Because the top 3 finishers seriously are my top 3 for this season and Blordin are my top two this season if you know what I mean..So it's OK for me..

Z, I was the one who mentioned about Randy alluding to Melinda making a record. He said that on Tuesday night.  I don't think Randy has ever said something like that before on top 3 night.  But it could have also meant that Randy already knew about a record deal with Melinda and so he threw that in to let everybody know she got it so going now. That part, though, could have been the culprit why her fanbase didn't push harder, becoming complacent.

If I just keep on ranting, I would say, Melinda could have been offered by a label before Tuesday that she could not refuse, and winning AI didn't even matter anymore for her. It's also possible that she could have bowed herself out from the contest this soon, giving up for Jordin to win it. When asked how she felt about the boot, she responded, "I'm just glad Jordin made it to the finals." Melinda was so sad when Lakisha left, I saw the look on her face, and I think from then on she might have predicted that she wouldn't win it either. However, the fight could still be on with the third sister in line. So, she gladly conceded in the most humble and professional way. With AI, anything could be possible, like this popularity vote, and the rigging by the AI producers, anything at all. What say you? .......Cynicism now spreads the land. When you're in this contest, though, you play their rules. But, if they don't use you (to be their winner), you can use them (to set up your own career). That's just about the fairness I can get out of this. That, folks, is entertainment, supposed to be. A-huh. Enough said and moving on.

At this time, you know that I love Jordin---she will beat Blake, take note of that. The baby sister is up for the grand prize and they will award it to her. That's a bet.

The headline would be:
Jordin -- sparks up Idol.
At 17, she's the youngest to win. What a phenomenon!

Movie actors like Paul Newman, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Bette Davis make me want to live in the era they lived but I could have been just as inspired even now while I watch their work in films.

Good Thursday Morning!  Okay, what's the deal with some of you exiting out of the pool before the winner?  Come on now, it's all in fun.  So . . . for next week it'll be Who will win AMERICAN IDOL?!  I'll get my post up later, so carry on the discussions. 

Kat and Blake need to perform together next week - they just might ya'll.  Let's put out those positive thoughts.  OMG, how awesome would that be?!  Scary thought for some reason, Taylor and Jordin dueting together.  Actually, Taylor and Blake could do something totally goofy together with some spazzy dancing, beatboxing and harmonica playing.    

FYI - Kelly C is supposed to be singing with one of the contestants next week, I wonder who?  It better not be Sanjaya, lol.

Co, this game has taken a toll on me, but my choice would be Jordin to the crown. Count it in that Blake will be the runner-up. Thanks a lot for keeping this thread going. I got a lot of venting done already. I might just feel much better any minute now.

FYI - I just posted Mandisa's blog about last night in the "Mandisa Blog Thread."  She was sad to see her friend, Melinda go, but said it's all part of God's plan.  Ya know, sometimes that's the way you gotta look at things in life - God has a plan for us all, Amen!

Thanks Greg for posting what Melinda said about Jordin in her post interview.  Apparently, in this week's TV Guide, the Top 3 were on the cover and Jordin said, "Melinda's my rock, I don't know what I'd do without her."  You can tell that Jordin and Melinda were really close.   Actually, both have strong spiritual convictions - this really was probably one of the tightest and most spiritual group of contestants in all the seasons.
