Well, I made Carrie's concert on Friday night and it was very good but was cut short due to weather. She had Lost Trailors and Josh Turner as opening acts and unfortunately we got more of Josh Turner than I did Carrie. It was an outdoor concert that started at 7:30 with the opening acts playing for quite awhile especially Josh Turner who played for about an hour and twenty minutes. Also seemed to be a lot of dead time between acts and even after the stage was set for Carrie to come on there was about 15 to 20 minutes of nothing going on but waiting and music playing over the speakers. This part was VERY frustrating because it was becoming obvious that severe weather was definitely becoming a possibility. FINALLY at about 10:05 p.m. Carrie came on looking beautiful and sounding great and got to her seventh song (Don't Forget to Remember Me) when it began raining at around 10:40. Her next song was Inside Your Heaven and it began to pour and lightning began to appear. She announced that they would not be able to play much longer because of weather safety and she skipped down and did Jesus Take the Wheel. Now during IYH and JTTW I had my chair over the top of my head and my 6 year old trying to not get totally drenched. It finally slacked up just a little and she finished the concert with Some Hearts. Now by this time 80% of the crowd had left so my daughters and I were able to go up very close to the stage to see her perform her last song before she exited and we then walked back to our car continuing to get saturated with water. I had the list of her normal set she was following which included 16 songs and we only got 10 with the last 3 being performed in the rain. Weather can't be controlled but given the known weather situation that night it was quite frustrating that it took over 2.5 hours into the concert to get the headline act out to perform especially since there were a lot of young kids in the crowd, including mine, who wanted to see her. If she would have started just a half hour earlier she could have basically gotten her complete set in without much of a problem. Oh well, it was still a lot of fun to see her perform even if we didn't get a full concert but just wish we had gotten more cooperation from Mother Nature. The ironic part is we haven't had hardly any rain around here in the last month.

I saw Carrie on Friday night(July 21) and she was amazing. I've seen her live before @ The American Idols Live Tour but it was awsome getting to see her sing her own songs.
Unfortunately it started raining and lightening and the show had to be cut short. I was dissapointed but glad I still got to see her.
