Sorry I'm later than usual with this but...watching Idol when I got home last night wasn't the top priority as it usually is on results nights. The hockey playoffs have started and as some of you know...that's more important to me than Idol. Now, funny thing about that is two years ago I found myself more worried about a certain female from Sherman Oaks than my team in an elimination game in the second round but...I don't feel quite like that about any of our contestants this year (or any other year) so the Sharks took precedence.
Let's look back at a few days ago..."Nancy, you really think it'll be Michael?" Mrs. V vaults up the scoreboard! Goes up four spots, but more importantly cuts the gap at the top by four points as our previously solo leader, Mattsie, went scoreless this week.
Oh, the best anybody got with this was two spots off 8th place. We had one 10th (Vadia) and three 6ths (the Bills plus Kate4Chris&Kat). Here's what the new scoreboard looks like:

Who is this David Hernandez fellow some of us had in 7th place? Amazing how long ago it seems that he was on the show. Could anyone tell me who the first four to go were this year right now without looking? That seems like ages ago. *thinking* I remember Colton…oh, scraggly haired Garrett. Girls…Joanne & Amy Davis! Yes! Just had to think about it for a second.
Good luck with next week’s picks…the results will be up on Wednesday night next week. No playoff game that night.
It's really hard to predict at times, but only hard because Michael showed well in the beginning before I realized that David Cook has the better vocals. But then, you see, I missed DC's audition, and I failed to review the tapes or youtube on DC before I made the top 12 ballot. And I didn't realize how hot JC could be to other women, although I don't find him so at all, personally. Vadia got it right about MJ, though!! Now, Michael is gone and the show must go on. My best to you, Michael. See you on the tour!
If next week is broadway theme, Carly, Kristy, Syesha, David Cook and David Archuleta should do well. We have seen and heard how these 5 idols could stretch up. Broadway singing requires vocal range, power, and control.. However, I might find Brooke and Jason a little limited in the range department, so, I'm worried.
can you please tell me who i have for getting out after cook? so next week?

Leaving the competition in the seventh spot is THE COMEBACK KID . . . Kristy Lee Cook
I've been reflecting on Katharine last night and it occurred to me that she has roots in Seattle, WA, because her grandparents live in the state. She spent her childhood summers in Seattle and she herself admitted that Wasington is her second home.
Like Katharine, Kristy Lee Cook has roots in Seattle, WA-- KLC was born there. So, it has become a sort of crusade for me to root for Kristy Lee in a much bigger way. I'm so looking forward to going to the tour this summer. I'm prepared to go to Tacoma (again) plus another venue, maybe Portland or in northern Cal, if I got more time. Definitely, I see myself enjoying this tour this year (with Katharine on my mind, of course).
About tomorrow's performances on Mariah Carey's theme, your guess is just as good as mine, folks. But, it's only a matter now of who's going to pick the right song, if not, we know he/she will join Michael Johns. Good luck, everyone. I really enjoyed their top 8 group song on idol gives back. It was special.
Here's to singing, dreaming, and loving!! There's something more to Kristy Lee that I just love, besides her singing. She has the most appealing personality in the group. It's her smart humor, her infectious smile and laughter; her girlish charm and tomboyish vibe; her witty replies, warmth around people and her love of animals; her height and her striking beauty; her good natured, classy and mature disposition; her poise and fashion sense; her sincerity, resiliency and composure; her dancing, horseback riding and kickboxing --just a few but appealing reasons, indeed, why I love watching AI this year. She's awesome and winsome! I don't know her personally but I have this familial feeling towards her. I feel her joy as well as the insulting criticisms, but like her, I'm not discouraged at all. - Mattsie
Player 5: Maddie Weekly Elimination Selection (The Top 7): Syesha Mercado Performance Show Date 4/15/08
I didn't want to go with Syesha cause I really want Jason to go now, he really isn't that consistent, but of course he has the bigger fanbase and well....looks like a popularity contest when it comes to him. as long as the finale is David A and Carly, i'm fine with it.....good luck all.
