I konw its very rare since she only placed 9th, but I hope someone sees something in her and she gets a record deal. I think she would do good. she was out way to early, I guess Sanjayias hair, and Haley's legs are more important than talent . didnt haley forget her lines???? and yes I know you get nervous sometimes and forget lines. Im not saying hayley is that bad , but I think her legs help keep her on. Haley shouldve went home last night..
I really liked Gina cause she was a rocker. Im beginig to think this season is turning into a joke to see how long they can keep Sanjayia on. Any one else like Gina?
I really liked Gina and thought she would go much further in the competition. Just like last season, the person going home 9th got screwed - last season it was Mandisa, and we all know that was an early elimination shocker.
Powder Phil and Sanjaya need to go next - hopefully they'll flop during Latin week.
Well yes but just about every season you have someone, a favorite, leaving too early in a big "shocker". that's one of the "hooks" of the show and IMO this season's shocking departure will be Lakisha with Sanjaya staying.

You know I don't know why so many people are anti-Haley. She is very similar to Kat, whether people want to accept it, or not. Her background is musical theatre, she is beautiful, and she uses all of the aforementioned as part of her overall peformance. After all, the show is looking for an all-round entertainer, 'pop idol'.
I absolutely adore Melinda and Lakisha and yes, they are great role models and have fantastic voices, but will they have longevity in the charts? No! Someone like Haley could do. Tne competition NEEDS Haley. Especially because Melinda, (nasally)Jordin and Lakisha all sound quite similar.
I really hope Haley shines during Latino week. She better sing 'Waiting for Tonight'.
I think you are living in the past. If it were 25 years ago, I would tend to agree with you, but in the current music climate, image and marketing count for much more than talent, I'm sad to say. With or without talent, Haley is just more marketable than Melinda and Lakisha, whether she goes home this week or stays longer.
Mr. Taylor Hicks has proven that winning the AMIDOL competition isn't a guarantee for success, so it's not about winning anymore, it's about getting exposure.
If the present trends in the industry continue, I just feel that Haley has a much bigger advantage than anyone in the competition this year, because she is eye candy. That may sound shallow, but that's the way it is right now. Given the right producers, songs and marketing plan, Haley could be HUGE. I'm not saying it is right or wrong, but just the way it is nowadays.
