I'm sitting here watching the early show and they just did it again!
They just announced that TH won 63 million votes on AI. God, that drives me nuts. I wish they would get it right...................63 M were cast. NOT for him. And, many votes came from the same person. I dont know why it bugs me but, it does. They make it appear Kat received 0.  That's my early morning spew. I feel better now.

Of course you are right. We live in an era where "factoids" take on a life of their own.

I'll give you an example. In a thread at AI Board, I used, as an EXAMPLE,
the fact that someone could sing with a 103 degree fever, but not with laryngitis if they had a 99 degree fever.  This was in response to a post that had Taylor as being a "true pro" for singing sick, as opposed to Kat not showing up.

Someone misread my post and thought I had said that Taylor Hicks had a 103 degree fever.

Within minutes, the word had spread like wildfire, although the thread was soon deleted once Taylor's fans started losing the argument.

Later, everyone was talking about Taylor's bravery, going on with a temp of 103. The original thread no longer existed.

Now, for all I know, he actually had a temp. of 103, but I doubt it.

that's so not true!! Tay didn't get 63 million votes.. what?? if he got that.. then that means that there is no one who voted for kat... arrghhh!!

That's so stupid, I like Taylor but I still don't get why people would choose him as their Idol instead of Kat when she sings so much better.
