Ah Mattsie, I can't lie, these gals are really disappointing me. I expected so much better. Now I bever expected to find anyone of Kat's caliber...thats a once-in-a-lifetime thing. But I was at least hoping for some talent of Jordin or Melinda's level. But I'm not seeing it sofar. Carly continues to be the best of the bunch. Kristy Lee, who I think is a much better vocalist than Kellie P,  has yet to showcase her voice, and more importantly she needs to show more personality. Brooke bores me. She's no Carole King and she's no Carly Simon. Sorry, as Simon would say. And the rest, meh. The best all 3 judges could say about Syesha was "Good". Wow, good! But they all loved Amanda, one of my picks to leave.

So whos leaving us this week?  It's between our lovely blondes, Kady and Kristy Lee,and  Ramiele and Asia'h.

Oh, Bill, gotta hold on tight. Keep voting. The whole Texas is voting. The whole Washington and Oregon are voting. Keep up the faith. I'm not ready yet for a heartbreak.

Well if Kady leaves then there really is not much of interest in the show for me. No one other than her had grabbed my attention at all. With all their back stories and trying to make it more personal etc no one holds any interest for me what so ever beyond Kady. To have to sit through Amanda and Danny? I would rather watch Sanjaya lol. It even seems like the judges are so pathetically bored with all this. The over hyping, the trying to make the audience respond to completely unlikeable people. It has just run it's course.

If she leaves which I think she will, then this season is over for me. Back to Kat land where I belong anyway. Kady has had her chances and it disappoints me that she hasn't shown what I think she truly has and that is great unlocked potential. Hopefully she will learn from it and a producer or indy label will take a chance on her. I really think it will be worth their while.

AI has "jumped the shark" for me too Bill. You're dead on about the judges reactions. They're bored to tears by most of the contestants. Just listen to Randy. Then watch his excitement after Kat performed. Back in AI5, you knew it was bad news for a contestant if Randy didn't jump out of  his chair, if Paula didn' cry or stand and clap,if Simon...well, Simon didn't get that excited back then either, that's why you never knew what Simon thought 'till he told us. Matter of fact, Simon is often the only one still critical of performances, greatly disagreeing with the other two.

im just gonna say this..but AI sucks this year haha. i was a huuuuuge AI fan as many of you are/were. but this season has no none that is captivating. i liked kady but she hasn't done anything in the show. for once the guys interest me much more than the girls. its usually the exact opposite in other seasons. i dont like how simon is saying...i say you could make it to 10th and thats it. its weird..anyways. i guess im pulling for david archuleta and david hernandez. they're my 2 favs mainly cuz the 4 girls i like have yet to impress......i compare them to kat and kat was right on with her first performance..and these girls haven't done anything to tell us they're the american idol! very upsetting...disappointing i guess is more fitting

I was very disappointed in the girls performances with the Top 12 on the line. The only one I really enjoyed was Brooke. She took a big chance with her rendition of a Pat Benetar song. When they first announced that she was going to do a Benetar song I said NO! Kelly Clarkson is probably the only AI contestant with the chops to pull off Benetar. I wish they would get these girls to stop doing Celine, Whitney, Mariah, Christina and those Heart songs, not one of them as the range for these power singers. The guys are definately stornger this year. David A is a combination of Josh Groban and Clay Aiken, for him I don't think it matters if he wins, Clive will sign him no matter what.

You are right about CD and also you are on target with Brooke.
Great natural talent and is the Sleeper for the Ladie's.
David A is the legimate front runner, but he better watch is back .Brooke and Carley are right behind him.

I was sorry to see Kady strike out last night. She might not make it to next week.

OK...Brooke White is THE BOMB BABY! I just listened to her with my eyes closed and she has an amazing voice and I can definately see myself digging her CD. She has a soothing voice and very unique, not sure where her nitch would be, maybe like a Sheryl Crow mellowed out?  Anyway, Her and Carly Smithson are the only ones who I really believe in when it comes to consistency and vocals.

I'm with you on Brooke....and now that someone mentioned a "mellowed out" Sheryl Crow along with Carol King and Carly Simon....it does seem to fit her. She took a big risk on the Pat Benatar song and in this years competition, if you are successful at the attempt to switch up a song, it may just be the best way to bring attention to yourself. So far, the ones to accomplish that task are Brooke, David Cook and Jason Castro. The other ladies (unfortunately) seem to just blend into each other. Carly Smithson could be the one to pull out "the moment" we all wait for each year.....if she finds the right song.

Right now I think only Carly & Brooke are capable of getting close to the end on the girls side.  But the girls are disappointing this year and after Ryan's endless THIS IS THE BEST TOP 24 EVER ranting it's just so...I mean there's plenty of good singers in the bunch but nobody is really dynamic.  I guess Idol probably will never get back to what it was in Season 5.  That was likely it's peak and it's sliding downhill slowly.  Although this year is better than last year.  There's more overall talent but the personalities still aren't there.  That's what really made Season 5.  It felt like we knew all of them.  Even Paris with her squeaky voice that annoyed me.  I still felt like I had some stake in her.

And sure Kristy Lee probably does sing better than Kellie but it doesn't matter.  That all by itself doesn't make for an interesting show.  I just wish Kady could figure out how to take everything she does off-stage on to it.  Because it's not happening for her.  Although I have a hunch she survives tonight for some reason.

My guess to go this week is Kristy Lee & Asia'h.  Amanda saved herself this week.  But I wouldn't be that surprised by anything tonight on the girls side.

COMPLETELY   CRUSHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I just realized, what is an opera-voiced singer doing on AI? Could she have been asked to downplay herself so she could get the early boot to launch her CD soon? (Harakiri style)  I'm reading 37 emails right now about it, and they are livid about the idea that AI MIGHT have asked Kady to give up sooner as her various talents are overwhelming AI including her music on myspace and thus overshadowing the rise of projected winner co-teenager David Archuleta. Preposterous innuendo but could be true. Whatever! I also read that there have been serious complaints against AI that Kady was not given video coverage during the Hollywood week. She was completely edited out while showcasing Josiah Leming who didn't make it to top 24. Remember Cardin McKinney? Apparently, she was supposed to have been included on the top 24, but that would crowd this year's idol with too many hotties. Poor Cardin. However, she is being encouraged to come back next year (to be next year's talented idol hottie).

For consolation, I LISTEN to her myspace. (www.myspace.com/kadymalloyfans)

Listening right now to Kady Malloy's version of "Fields of Gold" (with a sob) Will hibernate for a while, waiting for Kady's CD.

Well, I still have my KRISTY LEE COOK. Thank God!!!!!!!! Yes, mad pimping is now cool!

So Mattsie, now you're implying that Kady took a dive and sold herself out? That is even too ludicrous a scenerio for AI!! And there are others involved in the speculation that David A is the projected winner and that Kady would have been his closest competitor? What a conspiracy theory this is: IDOLGATE fiction at best!

There's a lot of theories about everything that goes on with Idol.  And while I believe Kady is very talented, she hasn't been able to take that to the stage with her the last three weeks and ultimately it cost her.  I thought she was going to survive and Kristy Lee was going to go just on a hunch (even though I thought she was better than Kady this week).  The reality is Amanda's performance was a surprise (14 of 19 in the pool picked her to go this week) and it caused somebody else less expected to go (Kady with 5 of 19 votes).

I'm not sure what to make of this group of girls.  It'll definitely make for some interesting ballots in the pool.  I have a feeling they are going to be all over the map in spots 2-9.

I will have to respectfully disagree with alot of you. I could never see the interest in Kady beyond the audition and some of her clips until Hollywood week. The stage absolutely terrified her and IMO she will fade as a
