I know in my heart that Kristy Lee Cook will make it to top 10, but I hope Kady makes it to top 12.

She better pick a song this week that shows off the power of her voice. If not I don't think she will make the top 12. She does have an amazing voice but she hasn't found the perfect song yet.

It's nice to know that you're interested in Kady's singing better this time. I've listed a few songs that might be good for her. What do you suppose she should sing? Have you got some suggestions? Are you a fan of the 80's?

I cannot believe she went for a song that Kat brought the house down with. Kady has a beautiful voice but she needs to get a vocal coach. She is nowhere close to Kat.

Kady has the look and the vocals, but somehow seems to be devoid of personality when she hits the stage. Very stiff performance and I just have to agree with Simon. She may not survive.

She is 18, just finished high school. First time to fly to California when she went to Hollywood.

Kat was 21 when she did that song, and had college background in musical theater.

Paula is right Mattsie, Kady has had three opportunities to charm the audience, and she's laid three goose eggs. I'm very afraid she's going home.

I also just rewatched Kat's magnificent performance of this song, and got goose bumps. In fact, I watched half a dozen of Kat's AI performances and am now reminded about how she outclasses all of the girls (and guys) this year. And last year. And every year. I think she's spoiled me forever!

Agree,Bill!I've also just re-watched all of Kat's AI perfs and she is surely the standard bearer;proving every week, over and over, what a natural,spontaneous artist she was(is)!Now,in retrospect,we can see how truly difficult it is to make things look that easy and Kat is a genius at that!
David H did a decent job with All Coming Back to Me Now;the best performance of the 3 Kat songs that were done this week.
Kady is totally stunning and charming when speaking,but perhaps needs some serious coaching and experience under her belt to hone her performance skills!

I've been keeping silent while watching this year for fear I was judging unfairly on this years girl talent. But, after tonight, I have to say I'm not wrong in comparing this year's group of ladies to Season 5. Two of Kat's songs were performed tonight and they were no where near the quality of Katharine's renditions!!!

Paris, Mandisa, Lisa, Kellie and Kat......they were worth going to the AI Concert to hear and see!

I have hopes for Carly Smithson....still waiting for her to find the right song or perhaps change things up a bit. Brooke reminds me of a Carol King and Carly Simon "want to be". Amanda was reassuring tonight with her performance....she could be sounding more like a Melissa Ethridge. Sayesha, Asia'h and Ramiele have big voices??!! but do not ignite a spark for me like Jordan or Melinda did last year. As far as Kady and Kristy Lee...good, but nothing special as yet.

Guess I'm dissapointed....all one has to do is replay Season 5 videos (at least for the ladies) to realize the "hoopla" over this year's ladies talent is unfounded. Sorry......

Sorry, I didn't put my last post in the right thread.  It should have been under theTop 16 Girls: Performances of the 80's.

I mean no disrespect to any of the ladies in this years running. It's just having joined in watching AI in Season 5, I tend to compare everyone to Kat & Company!!!!!  Not at all fair of me! I do like a couple of the guys, though.....

David Cook, Michael Johns, David A., David Hernandez, and Jason Castro are interesting and enjoyable.

This may have appeared to be a strange song choice, but Katharine McPhee sang it and knocked it out of the park back in Season 5, so the song itself can't be blamed for the lack of excitement in Kady's performance. This girl's just a non-starter -- she's pretty and does a killer Britney impression, but other than that I've got absolutely no use for her. Good riddance, girl.

Kady is the hottest girl to make the Top 24 of AI since Kat and does have a great voice. She also has a great personality but for some reason she seems to lose it when she takes to the stage. She still has me transfixed because of her stunning looks but the bubbly funny girl we see in her interviews is replaced by a wooden replica. I think she has the potential to be a star but she has to bring more life to her on stage performances because on this show it counts for a lot.
