Are these for real, Mattsie? Did the girl who sang "I Don't Know Why," make it? I really loved her voice. I'm glad the rocker chick/nurse is in - she's cool, and I'll have to refresh my memory this week to remember the other girls. Honestly, no one has stood out to me just yet, but I'm looking forward to our weekly seranades coming to us in TV land.
Hi Co, it's a big spolier. I got these from Rickey Forums and they got it from Idolforums. I hope these are true because my chosen 7 girls made it!! I don't know who sang "I Don't Know Why".

Dear friends and folks,
Here is a tentative list, or shall we say, a leaked list of the top 24 (12 boys/12 girls). Whether it is final or not, it remains to be seen. We will still be the judge of our own choices. I thought of making the top 24 list (12 boys/12 girls) available for us in the kmf community because I have seen the same list in 5-6 different blogs and forums already. In one of the blogs, someone from Mexico stated that they get to see the auditions one week earlier than the US. Could it have been possible that the leak emanated there? It's a darn spoiler. True. Just hope that the excitation doesn't dwindle fast. So, good luck to tonight's episode! Keep your fingers crossed!! Got a favorite to win all the way?
Note: I just got the list of names and photos. I provided the audition links and the myspace links. Now, it would be much easier for us all to recall who and what did he/she sing on audition, or what does he/she sound like, does he/she have myspace --to help us in our judging in the game. Co, we are on a roll with this new game of ours.
I'm only watching the Tuesday idol show now. Only 6 girls --- Carly Smithson, Amanda Overmyer, Kristy Cook, Brooke White, Syesha Mercado and Asia'H Epperson --- were featured at full length.
No TV feature of the other 6 girls --- Kady Malloy, Alaina Whitaker, Amy Davis, Alex Lushington, Ramiele Malubay, and Joanne Borgella.
It is so true that this year, the talent is stronger. Many could play instruments!
Angela Martin sounded like Beyonce in some parts, for real. I think she still has a future in music. I hope she doesn't stop singing. She is talented, I believe. I do not agree with Simon's decision to cut Angela Martin off.
Kristy Lee Cook really looks like Brooke Shields. Between Kristy and Kady, we are in for a battle of beauty and talent. Bring on the pretty lyrics, Greg!!!!
Brooke White - hybrid of Carly Simon and Carol King, great vocals and piano skills
Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado - are the vocalists to beat!!! (Simon's favs). Carly is the new Celine Dion with a tinge of Cher (truthfully).
Amanda Overmyer - is the new Janis Joplin
Asia'H Epperson - gave the star-like performance for me.
David Archuleta: Simon Cowell complimented him with, "you're young, good-looking, likeable, and have a great voice". Paula called him a "gem". Randy called him "the bomb".
JUST GETTING A GOOD VIBE
I was reviewing the featured videos from Tuesday's show and I just got this sudden hunch that a non-american born married man or non-american born married woman could be the next american idol -- because their performances stood out. It would not be easy though. It will be a very big fight of talent shows from the american born and young talented ones. Good luck to the top 24. Go, get 'em boys and girls!!!! Yee haw.....
So, based on the vibes that I get, for now, regardless of my own preferred favorites, and I could always be wrong, of course, the idols most likely to be on the top 10 are:
Carly Smithson, Michael Johns, Kristy Lee Cook, David Archuleta, Kady Malloy, Chikezie Eze, Syesha Mercado, Danny Noriega, Asia'H Epperson, David Cook. To make the top 12 altogether, I would add Brooke White and Jason Castro.
This is not to discourage anyone from doing what they have to do, but we have to be realistic with this thing. Anyway, let AMERICA decide. I just hope that they vote for the one having the best talent, really, and the one with the best potential to sell records.
For the first time in AI history, we would have a big participation of comments from Ireland and Australia, rooting for their own in this contest. AI is coming around bigger and better. I hope they (the contestants) are all very ready and prepared for a wider scope of repertoire because I could sense that this year, song selections could be harder as to even include opera, gospel or broadway songs, just to throw the pundits away or disprove the cynics, who knows? If rock is going to be the kind of theme they (the producers) like to record, it will almost tell us that a guy will win this thing. Otherwise, we might as well look for another country singing star. The past year didn't quite prove that a younger winner is the best hit. But previous to that, a fourth place finisher did very well with rock. However, pop and country is always open for the better sounding, skilled, and super talented crooner with the most mature and confident attitude, the next Kelly or Carrie. We can't help that, you know. AI has to thrive on its own merits.
Any thoughts on why Kady had almost ZERO air time Hollywood week? She's got a ton of fans over at IDF, but almost nothing on the AI boards due to lack of air time. Exposure is very important the first few weeks when everyone is getting to know the contestants and are picking favs. Lack of exposure really puts the pressure on for the first week performance.
I'm still a strong believer of Kady Malloy's talent. I was really disappointed that she was not featured. I thought about it and what I came up with is exactly what the AI producers might have most probably laid out as a strategy. Because of the early leak on Kady's music, they decided not to expose publicly how she might have sounded during further auditions. AI was content with the initial audition for people to remember that she is super talented because she could impersonate several singers. Therefore, putting her straight through top 24 would give the people an idea that she really deserved to be there, without question, without remarks. This is of course in recognition of the fact that Simon had said it on national tv that Kady was the best they've seen so far (up to Dallas)- AI respected Simon's opinion. So, to protect or uphold Simon's opinion, they had to withhold further pimping on Simon's early favorite. But they had to give away the other obvious skilled or rather "best crooners" of the bunch --namely, Carly, Michael, Syesha, Asia'H, David A, David C. Kristy Lee Cook's not making in the first round of Hollywood week, to me, was to set up a notion that even if she had gone pro, AI could be a tough place and AI is the only place that could rightly discern who's got what it takes to win one million dollars. Kristy had to be introduced early - her beauty is too tempting not to be obviously lured to, and it would be idiotic not to feature such beauty and talent together - a striking reminiscence of our own Katharine McPhee. Did you see the top 24 dances at the end of the program last night? Kristy had the best body contour and best dancing skills display, hands down!!
