I want Jordin to win. She has an incredible voice, and it is similar to Kat´s (I don´t want you guys to kill me, but Jordin´s voice may be even better than Kat´s, I didnt think that was possible but she sounds really amazing). I still love Kat and her beautiful voice, please don´t get me wrong.

I love Jordin, but am concerned about her age if she wins... can she handle it... Melinda is a great singer but I don't see her as a "pop" idol. Is anyone else concerned that Kat is becoming a "celebrity" for her beauty and personality rather than a singer?

Also, you shouldn't label anyone on the boards like that. McNick - I think Jordin's an amazing singer, and she has more range than Kat. Kat's voice is different and she's more of a finesse singer. In my opinion, they are both excellent singers, but Jordin's strong strengths are her range and the power notes. Also, she's only 17, so can you imagine what type of singer she'll develop into? I can't wait to watch her grow!

her voice is O K for me. i am not drawn to such "muscular" type voices. pardon my inability to express the proper technical term. to me she seems to show a little to much affectation. probably age.

Yay! I am rooting for Jordin! I hope its a Jordin/Blake finale. I think Melinda and LaKisha are good too, but I think they will probably put out gospel CDs and I'm not totally into that. However, all 4 will no doubt be very successful.

I'm rooting for Jordin to get into the finale versus Melinda. Sorry, but I will root for Melinda at that time. Jordin is very very young and her voice is not as developed as Katharine's or Melinda's. She is just a bit green to me. And I have noticed that people refer to Katharine's beauty before they mention her as a vocalist. Unfortunately, those are the values of the entertainment industry these days. Jordin WHO? There is no way she is better than Kat. Katharine has a trained voice and is much more experienced vocally. You are entitled to your opinion, but there must be a more appropriate place for that particular opinion.

Yeah, Jordin the AMAZON! Don't wait for her to grow coz she's all grown! I think she's the tallest female finalist on AI history! Didn't you see her during rock night? The guitarists look like midgets compared to her. LOL! She has to sit down during group pictorials coz she's so big! I like her voice. She's more marketable than Shrek Doolittle, that's for sure! But whoever wins, who cares? AI6 is not as talented as AI5.

ya i want jordin to win, cuz she has the best personality and a pretty good voice. but it gets really out of control like simon said this past week. i just wish she was more consistent. cuz i've only loved 2 of her songs. i who have nothing and broken wing. but out of the bunch i think she's probly the best american idol. melinda's voice is much better though.

Kat's just a different taste vocally. Of course she's more trained, she's older and grew up with a vocal-teacher mother. Both Jordin and Kat have been blessed and gifted with incredible voices, as well as beautiful souls. They both have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the world through the gift of their music.

a mcpheesparks fan here, jordin is amazing, she is in a different category then Kat, there should not be a comparison, but she is amazing none the less. i see her winning this and if not, she will go on to do great things as our Kat has done........

I could sense Jordin was perfect to win the 'AI' title quite early...as many of us did. Sure, I'm rooting for her (though only voting prior on the Idol Gives Back night) based more on her diversity than her voice. Also, the connection to Lexi Lu's jewelry makes it interesting for me. But there's times that her vocal timbre equals Kat's--especially in her earlier performances. Her recent performances have her voice not as strong...undoubtedly due to stress getting the best of her. Even so, many have pointed out that Jordin represents the "American Idol" brand better than anybody around this year. With Kat, she DIDN'T need 'AI'--because she was the type of artist who needed something different for her career. The same could be said of Blake or Melinda this season. Blake would be miserable being tied down to 'AI' for seven (or whatever number it is) years...making albums with material he'd likely despise. (Picture Clive Davis looking confused at Techno and beatboxing. ) Melinda is too professional to need 'AI' as a boost. Jordin fits the mold--and she'd get the nurturing over time while making popular pop singles and albums. Overall, it just depends on the artist whether they're truly suited to win the show. I'm glad that most of the contestants realize you can use 'AI' as just a promotional exercise rather than fighting nearly to the death to win. You could really see the realization of that when Phil and Chris went home the other night. Chris even happily said "I'll be more than alright" when Ryan made the statement Chris would be ok after leaving. He probably already has contract offers by the hundreds in his fax machine this weekend. Whether Jordin will be able to sustain a long career like Kat probably will is something to consider. You sort of sense that star quality in Jordin that she could be doing a lot of different things in entertainment for a long time as Kat is and will. We've only put Kat on that list out of nearly every single former 'AI' contestant. And the fact that Jordin's a big fan of Kat's--perhaps the two of them can become friends and lead the way now in forming the future generation of singers/entertainers.

Aside from being great,vocal artists,Jordin and Kat have much in common......they both have the IT factor with their beauty,physical stature(towering over Ryan and the other contestants)and their charming, spirited personalities.There's also a bit of the imp in both,as seen when Jordin did the donkey ears thing behind Ryan's head! Kat and Jordin both represent tremendous potential in show business,regardless of any AI titles!One only has to look at all the terrific accomplishments of the non-winners( and the non-accomplishments of the actual winners) to know the title is by no means, everything.Look at all that our Kat has done in one short year!! I've rooted for Jordin because I admire her talent,spunk and charisma.As with Kat,she seemed to become more confident and beautiful with every passing week!Being Kat fans,we should realize that winning is not all....second place is wonderful!!One can be a "winner" without actually getting the most votes!!

I love Jordin since the audition day... Remember? I said I was impressed with someone's performance with Celine's because you loved me... And I think she has improved a lot since that day and I certainly hoping she'll be at least the runner up!

I have been a fan of Jordin since the beginning, although I haven't been voting for anybody since Gina left..... I may have to start now that Jordin is in the top 4. She is by far the most marketable of the remaining 4. Melinda reminds me of Gladys Knight/Aretha Franklin type of singer and would be best persuing that type of music. I just don't see any marketability in Lakisha. Maybe Gospel music??? Blake has put some originality in the music which has made each week interesting. He has a future. I would prefer a Jordin/Blake final, but it will likely be a Jordin/Melinda final.

Issues of marketability are not for us to judge. That is up to record labels. For pure vocal ability, Melinda is the best, then Lakisha. Don't count Lakisha out too soon. Because of Jordin's age, she may not look as attractive to a record company because of the possibility that uber fame may be too much for her to handle just yet. Lakisha could record a pop album as well as anybody and Melinda could record just about anything. People are saying that they are reminded of Gladys Knight and Aretha Franklin or Tina Turner. Is that a bad thing? I think the finale should be Jordin/Melinda. It should be quite a show. I just don't think Blake measures up to any one of the ladies, even at his best.

Jordin is probably my favorite at this point. I say probably because I also really like Blake. Lakisha and Melinda do nothing for me. In fact, I'm really sick of Melinda. I would even argue that Jordin has the best voice of those remaining. Although it's easy to say that when she's my favorite. Based on popularity, I can picture a Blake/Melinda final. But I really hope Jordin is there instead of Melinda

Oh, I know Clive knows all about the latest everything in music--so that was just me being facetious again, Paula. Though am I right that Clive primarily seems to stick with producing what he's done for many years: Pop albums? That's the primary reason I mention that Blake probably wouldn't fit right being produced by Clive...unless he fought back like Kat did. You may have heard in one of those recent radio interviews that Kat seems to like Jordin quite a lot. She apparently saw her on one of the nights where she really did well--and exclaimed how powerful her voice can get. So it appears that Kat's rooting for her too based on her being in the median age bracket as Kat is (or is Kat closer to Melinda now that she's 23?) and her diversity as we've all cited here. Interesting that Kat seemed to pretty much define it as Melinda and Jordin--with Blake not being all that interesting to her. Perhaps a bit surprising there...but she did say once on TV how cool of a performer Blake is without being overly excited about it. It's interesting to hear Kat's take now on people such as Jordin. We've all been wondering lately what she thought of who. In the lessening chances Kat appears on 'AI' this year (maybe the finale)--hearing Kat and Jordin duet on something would be fun and probably goosebump-inducing. Those two may end up leading the way now in the best pop vocalists of the new generation...

. The best pop vocalists of the new generation? Clive Davis is NOT primarily a pop producer, but a MUSIC producer. If you read the list of his discoveries, not all are in the pop genre, but most were successful, which is why the man is a legend. American Idol was conceived out of the British Pop Idol, but I don't think the American version excludes itself from other genres. Besides, Blake Lewis may not even be signed by RCA. He may be more comfortable with an Indie label. I'm done, gotta go. Katharine's video is on Much Music right now (for the first time I've seen it).

I've been a big Jordin fan since her audition aired, when I picked her for Top 3. I joined the Sparklers (#230) over at IDF early on (Sparklers sounds better than Spark Plugs, no?) And I would have picked Jordin to win in the pool, but I never thought she could get by the Melinda juggernaut. Now, I'm not so sure. I think people have become a bit bored with Melinda, so she's vulnerable. Being near perfect every week has it's downside. As far as the discussion of Kat vs Jordin, I refrain. I'll just say that they're very different, and that Kat has a once-in-a-generation gift in her instrument. Great AI winners will come and go, but none will replace Kat in my heart. and thanks for the policing Co! How about becoming a KMF mod?
