omg this letter just made my day! kat is SO sweet, i didn't think i could love her anymore! she takes out so much time for her fans and appreciates us so much! she is so awesome & it's so exciting she is going to be on the magazine cover i can't wait to buy the magazine!

I knew there was an inspired writer in Katharine--and here it is. Thanks to Chad for posting it. And, thanks to Kat's staff people for not interrupting her in her dressing room tonight so she could finally get her thoughts out.

That was the most eloquent and genuine letter I've ever seen from a famous person to their fans. And, all the more emotional when we can be certain that it came from Katharine's own mind and not a staff member as it's sometimes done. This is the true Katharine I hope she'll always be: Grateful, inspired,  humble and appreciative of every moment.  Such a genuine and beautiful person in the entertainment business is rare enough, and Kat is going to be the epitome of what should be right in that industry.

Hearing that Kat was touched by our letters and gifts is more gratifying than anybody could imagine. Seeing her own words reflect this to us truly is a moment of awe and emotion that we could make such a difference in getting her through the 'AI' chaos. My letters were always to keep Kat in a certain frame of mind that would inspire her. Keeping that inspiration in her business is essential, so I hope what we wrote will stick with her forever. I know I'll always be there as a supporter and to always wish (or impart) inspiration in every endeavour she does.

Kat trying to responding to our letters was also a surprise. While I never expect anything in return from her other than just seeing her have a long, healthy career (and lots of TV and concert time), just the thought that she's trying to respond to some is proof of appreciation. I sent so much stuff (letters, a gift, the postcard, etc.) that you just can't expect her to focus on anybody in particular. It'd take her years to respond to everybody who sent her so many great things.

Yes, when it comes to buying female magazines with Kat on the cover (and you're a full-fledged adult male)--it's time to summon a female messenger. Teen People isn't her first cover (TV Guide was)--but it's her first one alone on the cover.

This was just an awesome letter that's worth saving forever as a document of one of the greatest notables we have within our generation.

WHO'S WITH ME!?!

Lol, Vadia, I could try Kat's little happy spin.  But for me it would be big more than little, sad more than happy... and probably more a circling around than a spinning... like dogs do before they lay down.  Spinning for me would be an invitation to fall. But hell, it wouldn't be the first time I fall for Kat.

Thanks to Chad for passing on the letter.

I think we all felt that we held Kat's hand as she walked down the American Idol highway, and we'll continue to do so as she becomes an international superstar.
