Omg she's so freakin sweet!! I truly don't know another star who is as good to their fans as our girl is! She's selfless, down to earth and amazing! I'm so happy they all love the hampers! 'Obnoxious boot' lol! She's so cute! I just <3 her so much!!

Edit: Since I was told this was such a boring response from Laurie. Please refer to Laurie's strained muscles in her neck for the cause of such boredness. It's painful to type such long responses these days. I should be back up to speed shortly. But for now, please excuse me while I go and enjoy the fact that I have an injury at the precise moment that Katharine has an injury as well. I so told ya'll I was adopted!

Back in my day glasses portrayed you as a geek. Isn't it great how excited we are about her glasses! She should definitely do commercials for eyewear.

Her parents should be so proud to have raised such a delightful young woman.

I was surprised to hear that she is still on vocal rest.

She is just the best... maybe if she is bored waiting to perform every day she might write again. I have the deepest admiration for everything about her. Can you imagine that anyone turned her down in auditions --- 195 times by all accounts. IT IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE.... she'll show all them how wrong they were when she becomes a SUPERSTAR!

Kat definitely made my day even better after reading her note!!!!!!!! She is soooo sweet!!!!!
I cannot wait till I see Kat next month!.. I still have to wait another 37 more days till Sept. 23rd when I will be the happiest ever, that day can't come soon enough!!!!!

To McElphaba: I get entranced with those videos and lose myself following threads. Somebody posts a link to one, and then I find six more on the side of the page and have to go watch those, etc. and so it goes. All I can remember is that it showed the Idols getting off the buses, which seemed to be parked in a huge lot behind a huge building, and I kept wondering why they didn't get closer because there seemed to be plenty of room. I guess they had to stay in the parking lot or something. it was a pretty long vid with all kinds of people wandering around, fans waving stuff to be signed, and some of the stars were attentive and some never looked up from their cell phones. Katharine seemed like she was having her hands full just getting from point A to point B because she had one big suitcase and something else, and no wheels, just lugging them by herself. And that damned cast. I think it was on YouTube somewhere (only about 4 million videos on there, I know...) maybe if you searched on idol, or buses... because it seems like the title said something about Idols getting off the buses.

BTW, I just read the book Wicked not long ago and was just amazed at the author's inventiveness. But when I saw pictures from the play, it looked like they'd taken some liberties...but then maybe it's hard to find an actress who can play a character with no arms, so they just put her in a wheelchair instead. I haven't even heard the soundtrack yet, but then I get to a lot of parties late. This is my first Idol year too, so I've been listening to some Kelly Clarkson vids to see what everybody's talking about. I get there late, but by golly I get there.

Hey Groucho,

WICKED the musical is quite different than the book. The latter is much darker and more complex. Many adaptations were made for the stage, as per usual. I love them both, but have a special place in my heart for the musical. Stephen Schwartz, who wrote the music and lyrics, is a genius.

Hello to my fans!!!!

I'm just writing a quick note to say that I'm thinking of all of you. 
The days are long here on the tour waiting for the show to start so I
have a lot of time to be on vocal rest of course (ha!) and to do
emails.

And I just finished eating a yummy ring pop. The little gifts you give make
some of our lonely nights a little more homey. 

Just so you know my foot is doing ok and hopefully this big obnoxious boot will be off soon.

much.  You are all so devoted that it blows my mind.  Good luck with all
