Thanks, Chad, for relaying the longer official letter to us all from Peisha.

That last paragraph above will make any longtime Kat supporter emotional. After this month of vocal silence for Kat, Peisha making the statement that we'll have years of songs and heartfelt emotion really hits home with the magnitude of Kat's talent. It also should make us fortunate that we'll have Kat around as an entertainer for the next fifty years considering her age. And I'll never forget what she went through this summer as a reminder to keep a strong level of appreciation of her voice. She'll undoubtedly have other challenges like this again--and we'll be there as support...but also to really savour the times she's well.

Yes, this was an example of mom really knowing best. Peisha even tried to get 'AI' to let Kat come home for some vocal rest before when the show was going. But, of course, the 'AI' head brass didn't let that happen. Thank God that Peisha was also a singer and knew what was needed to treat this type of thing. Kat got the best possible care--so we know no damage was done. The only thing left to do is just get her voice built back to normal. Her vocal cords may have atrophied a bit not being used for over a month. But with Kat's innate singing ability...she'll undoubtedly be able to hit beautiful notes right away.

Just one more thing to add: I'm glad Peisha promoted the power of healing through fan support and prayer. Mental well-being is everything in any kind of recovery process from illness--especially something frustrating and potentially damaging. I truly believe the fan support and spiritual support sent Kat's way made her heal faster than she may have ordinarily.

Thanks again to Peisha. A great, generous, intelligent mom to Kat and the fans.

Oh, I'm so happy!! Thanks so much, Momma Peisha, for taking the time to write to us! I feel so relieved that Kat is doing fine now... and Thursday, when she comes out on that stage, people will see what a real Idol is. Oh, I wish I was there to see that, it's gonna be beautiful.

Oh Peisha you are soo sweet and we are more than happy to have helped make Kat's dreams come true it would be just tragic if someone with her talent and beauty was never brought into the industry she has soo much to offer and I know shes gonna keep gracing us with her beauty and talent.

Momma Peisha,

Thank you so much for this lovely heartfelt letter.  I'm so glad Katharine was under your great care.  During this time the Kat Pack and McPhans were sending prayer and positive energy out to your daughter, and we remained loyal and patient.  There is so much love and support for Kat, and I truly believe all of our support/prayers led to her full recovery.  I'm sure Kat is jumping for joy to be doing the television shows in NYC, and then joining the tour to finally see her fans.  Kat is going to bring so much to the tour and the fans will love it!  Also, thank you to you and Dan for doing such a wonderful job in raising your daughter - we love her and your family so much.  I am looking forward to the music your daughter will be bringing us!

Momma Peisha,

Thanks you so much for the heartfelt, warm letter including the update on Kat. Also, thanks to you and Dan for devoting so much of your time towards Kat's success. Your communication regarding Kat is always very special to all of us, and certainly helps us keep our connection with her. We are all so relieved and excited that Kat is back. Dear Peisha, you are the dearest mother in Katharine's world.  You also have hung in there with her through thick and thin. I am grateful to you for your constant love and support of Katharine who has become the person we love today.  We are happy to hear that "she will continue to bless us with beautiful songs and heartfelt emotion". You also have helped her achieve the dream she has had since she was a child. I thank you and wish your family love and appreciation for sharing your beautiful daughter with us. We look to many days of joy and music from Katharine.
