To my wonderful Fans,
         Well well well!!!!!! What an amazing ride this has been for me.
  I can't thank you enough.  I have so appreciated all of the support
and the letters from you all.  I love the blanket, the scrap books, the
jewelry, the cards, the pictures!! Everything I have loved and will so
treasure for the rest of my life. The process was so stressful at times
that I felt that I didn't want to do it anymore, but you all truly keep
me going.  I feel so overwhelmed with emotion when I think of all the
love that came from all of you, it actually has brought me to tears at
times.  You all should feel so proud of yourselves, because you're the
reason I have come so far.  I just went out there and sang and tried to
do my best, but you're the ones who stayed up and took the time to
vote!!!!!!!!!!.  Every week no matter what the judges said you keep
firing back.  It really blows my mind.  And the letters/fan mail; I
want to say that I have just gotten started on signing autographs and
replying to your letters. So hopefully you will get them shortly.

         I want you to all know that even though I didn't technically
win, I feel like the biggest winner of them all.  I feel like the
luckiest girl in the world.  I hope that you all weren't too sad. The
only thing that really brought me to tears at the end of the finally
was this little girl who was always at the shows and was a big fan. She
came up to me and gave me a big hug and cried because she was so upset
that I didn't "win."  At that moment it just made me think of all of
you.  I hope that I have done you proud. But let me tell you, I'm doing
things that I always dreamed of doing.  You will be seeing and hearing
from me and I'm really focusing on putting out a great album for you
all.  I am writing this email from my dressing room at the Andrea
Bocceli concert. It's fantastic. I will be on the cover of teen people
next month!!!!!! My first Cover!!!!! WOW!! I am really busy. You all
made it happen. I had no idea that this would happen so fast.  But
thank you!!!! Thank you for making ME your small town girl.  I can't
wait to see all your faces.  I love you from the bottom of my heart.

Katharine,

What a very sweet, sincere letter to the fans.  You did us proud, Kat!  All we wanted was to see you perform and succeed, which you did and are continuing to do.  The only sad part about it is that we can't see you weekly anymore.  Congratulations, and thank you for taking the time to write such a long letter.  Well worth the wait! 

We will all support you in everything you do.  Cause, ya know... we gots da McPheever!!

WOW. I just love that girl. We are so lucky to be her fans. I just have to compose myself now.

Katharine, you are amazing and I cant wait to get your album. This was an awesome letter...I wonder if you were writing it at Arco Arena...while I was waiting in the audience for the moment you step on stage. Amazing performance, and i just wish we could have seen more of you!

In my opinion, you are the winner and you have my support in anything you do!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm already having to plot how this grown man could possibly buy an issue of Teen People without looking like a total weirdo.

This letter just really made my day.. My whole day has been hell, friend dieing, everything, won't get into details. Thanks Chad. Sorry about yesterday as well.

That letter made me cry

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason if you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, Let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy they just promised it would be worth it.

Thank you so much for the letter, Kat.  You're truly a class act.  Your journey through American Idol really touched our lives, your voice stirred our emotions, and most of all, your smile brightened our world.
