Hey guys, I have the scan of the picture from page 5 of today's Datebook, which is the entertainment insert section of the San Francisco Chronicle, where this interview was published offline. It is newprint quality but I thought somebody might want to see it.

Both Kat and Nena look like they're so comfortable that way   Nena's face cracks me up all the time.  She will never fully understand just how lucky she is.

OMG LOL that's so cute......Poor Paula though OMG hehe...and Rosie do they always have to say..."weighed in" Oh man!! I'm glad I'm not a celebrity I don't have tough enough skin...I'd be crying to my Mom every second of the day. LOL

If Paula Abdul is not self-medicating, she should really do something to either prove it, or stop slurring and nodding off during idol. He image is now severely damaged and is anything but a role model for all the young people who consistently watch Idol. Rosie's weight is an entirely other story. I think it has to be her choice. Nena McPhee is one of the most pampered doggies in the world. She sure looks comfortable.

I think we've all said this before.  Is it wrong to be jealous of a 3-pound dog?  Ohmigod!  I know she loves her "baby" but isn't that a bit much?  She slipped Nena inside her sweater to keep her warm!  Too much.

Technically speaking, given that Nena is a purebred female, shouldn't those words be "Lucky b***h?"

Anyway, yeah... Cute pic... And I love the way they worded the caption: "Katharine McPhee slips her pooch inside her sweater..." That was very "PC" way of putting it. I mean, some horndog writer (like myself ) could've easily come up with another, more "colorful" way to word that caption.

Another thing, as cute as that pic is, I have to admit that when I first saw it, I sorta had this strange flashback to that Kuato character from Total  Recall.

(Yes, I know... I'm certifiable. )

LMAO!! gosh, Nena's soooo so cute! i too, love her silly clueless and mischievous expression each and everytime. Nena's like, "Haha! i'm lovin' the life i'm livin' and i don't even have to take such huge efforts to get it. i've got Mommie Kat dancing on my cute little p-waws.." (then laughs like a little baby witch)... so cute!


aaaaww, Kat's sooo sweet. i also have a dog, although not a chihuahua, i give him sweet kisses on the lips (do dogs have lips??) each and everytime, and i hug him, my dog's a good hugger. LOL

Cute picture of Kat and Nena, but I suppose this pic may be the last one that we'll see for awhile. I'm referring to what was said in California Kat Phan's review of the Jimmy Kimmel show: She asked to take a picture of Nena and Kat and she replied, "....my manager won't let me" 

I should subscribe again to get the Sunday edition of  San Francisco Chronicle. I missed the pink pages here which had Aidin Vazari's super interview with Kat.   TQ.

As to the article about Paula and her slurred speech...., she must be under some medication and showing the side effects or ....I can't imagine anything worse and don't you think that the powers that be would already have spoken to her about this.  I like her and she adds good balance to the other two characters!!

Can somebody explain this no-more-Nena stuff to me? Is this image control because somebody
thinks it makes Katharine look like one of those ditzy celebs who has to have a teacup dog because
it's "in" and "just too cute" etc. ? Obviously most fans find Nena adorable and a plus in selling her
as a sweet, loving person who is so attached to her "kid." I'm just not sure what the downside
to Nena is. But then I'm one of those people who considers animals pretty much kids with too many
feet and too much hair, and I know K. has been an animal lover all her life, so I'm not too objective.

Movie actors like Paul Newman, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Bette Davis make me want to live in the era they lived but I could have been just as inspired even now while I watch their work in films.

As far as Paula goes.......sadly, people like to watch a trainwreck. It makes good Television. Anna Nicole Smith is a prime example of this.

Well many people associate Hollywood ladies in their 20's with chihuahuas all in same class.  Thus, Katharine potentially getting lumped in with the Paris Hilton's of the world.  It's all about image.  They don't want Katharine looked at like another Paris Hilton.  I know it sounds ridiculous that someone would do that but....see her in a magazine with Nena...people think Paris Hilton.

Now we know Katharine loves Nena like her own baby.  It isn't a stunt.  She isn't doing it for photo opps.  But it's purely an image thing.  Plus...they probably want the pictures to just feature Katharine.  There's a reason Nick is shooed to the side most of the time.  Because in captions for photos they want it to say.

"Singer Katharine McPhee appears wearing Vivienne Westwood at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party."

They want it all about Katharine.  Not having to explain who Nick is.  Maybe it would be different if she had a celebrity boyfriend but...she doesn't (and that's fine by me).

oh, now i understand... but what about what Kat really wants? im sure if i were in her position, id be sad that i can't take my baby anywhere anymore because of the whole freakin'  "image" thing... oh well... it's sad, coz i know Kat loves animals, and it's she's not doing it just because...
