So cute! I also am glad she is walking the dog as it is better to walk Chiuauas than carry them all the time. A friend told me that they will be much more friendly with people and much less high strung and nervous, plus it's healthy for them to walk...just be careful he doesn't get munched in a crowd! LOL

Nena is so cute! My cousin has a Chiuaua except his is fat so not so cute looking lol. Nena is a tiny little thing. I just hope that Kat's careful when she walks Nena as somebody could easily step on her and that would be terrible.

She just needs to remember that her legs are about 20 times longer than Nena's, and the little one is going to poop out from a lot of walking. I used to have a lhasa who would just collapse and refuse to move when she ran out of steam, and it was either pull or carry. I know K. is a conscientious owner, but I just think of stuff like this. 

Actually many dogs get more aggressive when they're frightened or uncertain, and if you were a foot high facing the world from that vantage point, things might look a lot meaner than if you were five feet off the ground. But yes to the exercise, because I had a cousin with two of the roly-poliest Chihuahuas you've ever seen because they were never let out of the house. Period. ASPCA signing off now.

I think that's a reason that smaller dogs tend to be a little more aggressive than bigger dogs.  They almost have to be for fear of being crushed by all of those big people running around.  I'm sure Katharine knows how to stroll slowly so Nena can keep up without a problem.

I have the opposite problem.  My Jack Russell walks me because he's so hyper active.  At least until he gets a little tired then he's good.

The exercise is a necessity for all dogs, but as far as being intimited is concerned, Nena is a snmall dog with a big spirit. She doesn't look easily intimidated.
