cute picnena looks like she enjoys the walk
Too cute and adorable and stylish too, Kat and Nena
She just needs to remember that her legs are about 20 times longer than Nena's, and the little one is going to poop out from a lot of walking. I used to have a lhasa who would just collapse and refuse to move when she ran out of steam, and it was either pull or carry. I know K. is a conscientious owner, but I just think of stuff like this. Actually many dogs get more aggressive when they're frightened or uncertain, and if you were a foot high facing the world from that vantage point, things might look a lot meaner than if you were five feet off the ground. But yes to the exercise, because I had a cousin with two of the roly-poliest Chihuahuas you've ever seen because they were never let out of the house. Period. ASPCA signing off now.
I think that's a reason that smaller dogs tend to be a little more aggressive than bigger dogs. They almost have to be for fear of being crushed by all of those big people running around. I'm sure Katharine knows how to stroll slowly so Nena can keep up without a problem.
I have the opposite problem. My Jack Russell walks me because he's so hyper active. At least until he gets a little tired then he's good.
