Ha, why don't these pictures ever include Kat's companions? It's like she's talking to an imaginary friend...
Kat's learned to avoid the patented paparazzi glare (i.e. ) that she almost started utilizing in the beginning. Instead, she's smart enough to use psychology and just accept telephoto lenses as a part of her reality. Good for her for not letting them disrupt a good lunch with friends. You can tell she knows they're there...but the paparazzi probably can't get wind of what she's talking about. That is, unless someone became an expert in lip reading in still pictures. Constantly drinking from a plastic cup while you're talking helps garble the lip movement for security purposes.
Yes, that ring has to be the one all the press is referring to as the symbolic presence of engagement to Nick. She's wearing it on her left hand, too, which shows it's the real deal. She's never worn rings on her left hand before (well, she's left-handed), so this is either an abberation or what's more than obvious.
And let it be known that apparently Kat likes turkey sandwiches with nothing else on them except just the turkey. I'm that way myself (it takes too much time to spread the mustard and slice some lettuce )--but I don't know if she asks for them that way in restaurants. It's hard to tell there whether it's just plain turkey. She'd probably get some mustard on her upper lip (or on the ring) if they slathered on the Grey Poupon.
Also refreshing: The epitome of the new Hollywood female who tears into a sandwich without sitting there staring at it and deciding whether they need the few extra calories on their obvious ribs.
