I guess she was actually attending a party at the home of producer Jennifer Klein and rubbing shoulders with Oscar winners, etc. She just looked like she'd been out shopping. So I'll stop crabbing about why she's runnng around town in deathtrap wedgies. She's partying!

This is not the girl who was struggling through a hellish competition every week. She's more on top of things, she's getting more experience under her belt all the time, and she's learning what she can do and what she can cope with. She's got loads of on line fan sites, she's done all kinds of photo shoots and magazine covers, and she's been on two live tours now (Idol and summer Radio Tour) that taught her a lot about dealing with live audiences (and malfunctioning equipment and all the OTHER stuff), and she's shooting a movie, no doubt the first of many. She should be confident.
