^What a gorgeous picture (well, every single one is beyond stunning)--and looks like Kat's media pics are on the rampage again tonight, Mark . Thanks for posting those all up...unless there's still more to come until morning! That award should be a major one instead of a minor one, but it's good to see Kat win any award. Also, let's hope that isn't a makeshift snowglobe if you shake it. Weird that minor awards never have pointy edges like the major ones do. That prevents it from being used as a deadly weapon or a no-no to set on someone's chair during the awards ceremony. Yes, the Young Hollywood Awards are fairly well known, though certainly don't get the respect or coverage that other awards do. They've been holding those every year for quite a while and give a chance to honor the more outstanding of the next Hollywood generation. Kat should have been up for more awards--assuming she'd fit under different categories. 'Most Exciting Singer of the Year' seems like the biggest understatement of the year...though it seems they created that title just for her. I doubt many would cite any other new singer of the last ten years very exciting. Interesting seeing Kat go down the red carpet and nearly combine with a picture on the wall of Hilary Duff on a magazine cover. Those two seem to be getting linked more often than some might want. And here they'll be performing together frequently in May and June for that radio tour. It'd be great if they became good friends, because they both seem to have the same kind of goals/charity interests...along with owning precocious chihuahuas. Well, can we safely say these may be the most stunning red carpet shots ever of Kat so far? We keep saying that after she appears at an event...but I think Kat's at the absolute peak of health and beauty. The amazing news is that she probably hasn't even officially peaked yet in both of those departments. While seeing Kat winning minor awards may be frustrating now, this is still a surefire sign that she's going to be one of the most famous and most beloved stars in Hollywood in the next five to ten years.

Every one of these pics is from wireimage where I have a pay account. At events such as these there are always more well known stars than Katharine, but she always seems to be the most photographed. I mean, what would you do if you were the one holding the camera?

^The first award that comes in a box? Or maybe one of Randy's giant bling watches is in there as a gift. Interesting seeing Randy presenting that award to Kat during the first anniversary week when he blasted her when she sang 'I Have Nothing' on Idol. But, at that time, I figured they'd probably not only apologize but truly eat their words through actions in another year. Sure enough, here's Randy a year later presenting a minor (yet still significant) award showing that Kat's going to be a major force in Hollywood for years to come. How ironic would it be if he ended up becoming Kat's tour arranger or music director (on a part-time basis) as he does for Mariah Carey's touring shows on occasion? He wants to get in where the great voices are...and having that connection to Kat would help. My God, there's so many great shots from this event...yet it was kept quiet. Kat didn't mention anything about it on that Open House Party thing last night (at least the portions I heard on the download)--but she did say she had to get up at 5 in the morning today for something. Was it for this? If so, this may be so unknown because they make a Sunday Brunch out of it rather than an evening show...

We need more McPhans to get accounts at wireimage to help with the ratings. It is painfully obvious that haters go in there and give low ratings on Katharine's pics so that they won't be featured on the "Top Pics" section. Basic accounts are $10 a month if you're interested.

Here I am, back from the emergency room, still on oxygen but at least able to type. Just barely. The Natalie Wood+Catherine Zeta Jones look is almost too much. And doesn't Randy look almost like a proud papa standing there with her? It's almost funny. Next year Nick gets the Guy America Would Most Like To Change Places With award. Hands down fo' sho'.
