The Fox sensation American Idol has made household names out of its contestants. Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, and even William Hung, have become common names in the news.

But now Celebrity Babylon has some EXCLUSIVE photos that some former American Idol stars may have not wanted to see! Photos of AI season 5 runner up Katherine McPhee, 23, and AI season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino, 22, that are destined to be Internet sensations! We caught McPhee on the set of her latest fashion magazine shoot at the Burbank Equestiran Center, wearing a sexy white tank top, riding pants and boots doing cartwheels, back flips, you name it! According to our Celebrity Babylon snapper, "Her boyfriend (Nick Cokas, 41) was watching her and laughing! She was getting bored in between shots and start dancing around and doing her gymnastics. The hair and make-up people were not happy at all, they had to keep fixing her up."

We also have a video of McPhee on the photo shoot, scratching herself, and picking her nose that is bound to have Simon Cowell laughing and giving the former runner-up some sage advice!

You've heard of the Horse Whisperer,but never the horse cartwheeler!!That white horse was looking anxiously at the Kat gymnastics and praying she wouldn't try those moves on his back!!Maybe he never saw an upside down human before!Kat is such a dynamo of joy and energy!!For the old timers here..wasn't there a film many moons ago called,"They Photoshoot Horses,Don't They"?Moral of the story here....refrain from finger to nose action when there are telephoto lenses around!These needs Kaptions!!!

I am glad that we can't find the video Thel as it does not sound so becoming for our Katster. I never realized how much shorter she is compared to Nick. But she is actually tall so Nick is definitely much taller. It was a great shot of Nick Kat and Nena.

Do I detect a challenge?

PS She has her knees slightly bent in the "family shot," which I think is a better explanation than thinking she shrank three inches in the past few months.

Looks like the horse worked just as hard at the Kat! It was really interesting to watch the horse trainer working with the horse posing.

There, you see I told you the nose-picking was a part of the occasional Kat behind-the-scenes reality...albeit only 2% of that. Well, these photos are the kind where she apparently doesn't know she's being photographed...so I'm a bit ambivalent about loving them. Kat and all of us need to know, though, that cameras are everywhere--and if you have to scratch yourself in places you wouldn't want even your parents to see...don't do it in any public place. It has to be reminded, however, that even Queen Elizabeth was caught on camera picking her nose once. That's made it onto dozens of websites that show famous photographic outtakes of notable people. And she was even wearing gloves while digging around in the royal nostril.

Beyond my feeling of uneasiness when I see obtrusive pics of Kat on the net--these are fun to look at...especially when getting the rare chance to see her doing cartwheels. That may be a healthier alternative for her when she gets bored on the set of photoshoots or filming movies. All that Sharpie ink she puts on her hands and arms when bored may get into the blood if you expose it to your skin often enough. Beyond that, if Kat gets a film career going...there's going to be plenty of opportunities for her to do cartwheels. Filming movies can be a very boring experience what with all the retakes and waiting around for a director to make up his mind on a shot.

So we're going to get an equestrian theme in Kat's next photoshoot then? That's a good theme--and Kat looks right at home with that equestrian gear on. Being an animal lover, I'm sure she loves horses (even above cows on the hierarchy).

Nice to see her and Nick apparently still close. When you see a shot like that...it shoots down the silly rumors of breakups. And with Nena in-between the Kat/Nick sandwich--you hopefully have one happy family.

Edit: Kat without shoes on (i.e. open-toed bare feet) seems to equal slightly shorter than we think she is.  I've seen other photos of Kat barefoot (plus standing straight)...and she looks a lot shorter than she did on 'AI' when wearing those heels.

One, Katharine isn't wearing shoes in that picture with Nick (he's got on tennis shoes).  She's 5'8".  We're used to seeing her with Nick in heels.  So he's probably what?  6'1" or 6'2"?  Something like that?  She just looks kinda short because she doesn't have shoes on there.

I don't find these obtrusive at all.  She's picking her nose?  So what?  She did that on purpose for an MTV picture not that long ago!

And the biggest part of the story here....woah, look at Katharine's body!  All those fears she was shrinking away to nothing at one point should be gone.  She's looking healthy & wonderful.

I can't get this video to work.  Oh well...

The first video was mostly 17 minutes of her sitting on a horse. Not quite like watching paint dry, but not really terribly exciting. Well there were a few seconds when she decided to lie on the horse's back, and the horse turned away from the camera, and the view became rather more interesting, but aside from that... Then we got a 2-1/2 minute recap of her walking to her dressing trailer or something, and between the riding boots and spending an hour on a wide horse's back and the sprayed-on nature of the riding pants, she seemed to be having some trouble walking. As she made periodic, ah, adjustments, someone added the sound effect they use on Funniest Home Videos. It was actually kind of funny, except that as usual I kept thinking oh lord, where is this going to show up with caustic comments from the antikat crowd?

I'm sorry I spent time watching the videos (one is just a short version of the other), even though I fast forwarded through most of it. Because it's clear to me that Kat had no idea there was another camera there. In the beginning of the horse one, the videographer pans back enough that you can see the side view mirror on his car, from the inside.
But I really liked the still photos of her doing cartwheels and backflips! Go Kat Go!
