Has this been posted already?  i thought it's on Dec. 12? oh, man... but anyway, it's exciting to know Kat's getting involved in the songwriting process.  i can'y wait to buy her album.

by the way, Daughtry's single is also awesome, i'm soo happy for them.  good thing he didn't win American Idol, or he would have had the same fate of blue-eyed Bo Bice, who i adored also during AI4.

Katharine McPhee's debut album is slated for release on January 30, 2007. The album's release date has been changed on many occasions, originally set for November 14, then November 28, then December 19, and eventually January 30. The album will be released by RCA Records in association with 19 Recordings Limited, and is produced by Clive Davis. Three songs were uploaded to Promosquad on November 16, 2006 - "Open Toes," "Over It," and "Each Other." It is unconfirmed if all three will be on the album and if one of them will be the lead single from the album.

According to a November 29 article by MTV, McPhee has worked with the likes of Babyface, songwriter Kara DioGuardi, Chad Hugo of The Neptunes, and Timbaland's production partner, Nate Hills. Mentioned in the article was five potential tracks included on the album - "Somehow" (produced by Ryan Leslie), "Home" (a power ballad written by DioGuardi), "Each Other", "Neglected" (which McPhee co-wrote), and "Open Toes." McPhee also confirmed in the article that Somewhere Over the Rainbow will not be included on the album. [1]

Thanks for this. Jan. 30th is the new date!
We are definitely working together -- working on a record together. She sings so magnificently, it's just amazing -David Foster-
