She looks like she was totally charming in her acceptance speech - still have that to look forward to tomorrow. Frankly - I think moving pictures and sound are highly overrated, I guarantee - watching this on TV tomorrow won't be 1/10th as exciting and fun as it has been watching it this way - with boards and chat and pictures being posted. TV just sucks the life out of everything.

I agree that seeing the pics here (especially the HQ's) is the ultimate VIP seat to this event. And if you're good at reading lips in photos--it feels like we were right up there on stage with Kat via the media here. Of course, watching on a Hi-Def TV could make it enjoyable...though not everybody has one of those yet. If not, sitting through all the other things on that show (plus enduring commercials) might not be for everybody. I'll watch most of it, though, because I always like to take the whole thing in context. Plus, we'll likely see shots of Kat reacting to things in the audience--maybe more than usual because of her nomination.

The most interesting will be seeing the reactions of Heigl and Mannillo on the big screen. I assume they'll put all three of them in little boxes on the screen to get the immediate reaction to Kat winning and the others...losing gracefully.

Well, I've already written a lot in other threads about Kat winning tonight--but I think this is the beginning now of a huge tidal wave in Kat's pop culture power. By this time next year, she may be on the road to winning major music awards...if at least being an influential force in the entertainment industry. Seeing other big players in the industry rallying that on will be even more gratifying.

Katharine has it! Whoo hoo! I can't wait to hear her acceptance speech. I don't think Heigl and Mannillo were there so we won't be seeing their reactions though I don't think either one would be surprised.




Wow, Heigl and Mannillo didn't show? They must have been reading us here and how committed we were to voting...or just realized that Kat's head was growing exponentially on the VH1 website. I truly think VH1 was sending not-so-subtle messages to us.

That means that we'll get still pictures of those two while Kat's square would show her patiently waiting to get up on stage and accept her award. I just wonder now if VH1 really does phone the winner and tell them they won before the show airs? That might explain why Heigl and Mannillo weren't there. This same procedure is how they do it on the People's Choice Awards. It's probably a much more convenient process for the celebs so they don't have to sweat bullets in the audience for two hours wondering if they'll have to make a speech or not.

Well, Kat being the ultimate professional speaker--she probably just spoke off the top of her head. She's never at a loss to come up with something meaningful on the spot. That means we probably won't see her holding a crumpled up piece of paper reading her acceptance speech when she wins the big awards in the next few years.
