Saw this on IDF and TWOP Kat's on the last page of the December issue of Blender (My Chemical Romance is on the cover). Don't know anything about this magazine.

On this American Idol tour, I’m always bored, because it’s such long hours. And I always end up drawing hearts on myself – on my hands or my palm. It’s really nothing. Or I’ll write “I Love You” on my middle three fingers. Then I’ll walk around, and if I feel like saying “I love you” to somebody, I’ll just hold up my hand. You show the fingers to people you know, or to strangers? People I know, but people who wouldn’t feel comfortable if I said, “I Love you” It probably weirds out some men. Because they’re like, “She loves me?” So why do you get bored on tour? Is it because you only sing for about 30 minutes a night? People always ask us, “Aren’t you guys just having so much fun?” And we’re like, (half-hearted) “Yeah.” But the good outweighs the bad. Even if I think to myself, “Oh, man, I gotta sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow again?” I see the little faces smiling at me and they’re all excited, so it becomes more to me. What personal trait do you have that other people find annoying? [laughs] I can be very childlike. If I’m in a silly mood, I talk in this baby voice. Let’s hear the baby voice. No! C’mon! Let’s hear it. I talk tot eh girls when we’re doing hair and makeup. [in baby voice] “Oh, baby, come on. I love you, lover.” Just stupid sh** like that. Paris Bennett was upset because someone had eaten her crabcakes, and I was like, “Oh, baby, don’t worry. I’ll make you a sandwich, little munchkin.” Wow that is annoying. Actually people think it’s funny. I do it to have a good time, to make fun of life. But if I do it too much I start to annoy myself.

The right side transcription: Ever been fired from a job? No, I was a hostess, a catering manager, I worked in retail, I was a nanny for two different families. And I was a good nanny! Did you ever want to smack the kids? Oh, sure. [Laughs] Of course, they always get out of line. Who were you in a previous life? The first thing that comes to mind is a psychologist or a therapist. I think an entertainer's job is to heal. That's what artists do, and that's what doctors do too. Have you ever seen a therapist? Yeah, I've seen many therapists. I started when I was 17, and I still do. Self-help, personal growth, pain, family struggles -- it never goes away. What are you like when you're drunk? I'm silly times, like, a hundred. Other than a few bad nights in college, I don't really get out of control. Nobody likes to barf. To me, that's not fun. But is that really who you are? I'm a sweet girl. But I definitely have edges, and I like to have fun. OK, here's the story. I went to the Boston Conservatory, this really strict performing arts school, and a friend and I decided one night that it was time to rebel. So we got Thai noodles and these really cheap jugs of red wine. I just remember barfing all night long. I would wake up and I would already have barfed, and I didn't even know I was barfing. And to top it off, everything was just bright purple. Like, the Thai noodles were purple. When was the last time you lit? I don't think that people want to read that. [Laughs] I'm supposed to be the sweet all-American girl from American Idol! Ok, we've heard enough now. What do people who don't like you say about you? Non-fans say I'm overly confident or stuck up. Or they say I'm a snob, because during Idol I would talk back to the judges. Trust me, I could've said a lot worse things. My dad always says, "You got a mouth on ya!". Are you a good girl or a bad girl? Both. I'm a big flirt. It doesn't get me into trouble -- well maybe it does sometimes. But yeah, I just love men. How many hearts have you broken? Many. Jose. Definitely Alex: I done him wrong. Stepped on his heart and went on with another boyfriend. Alex, if you're reading this, I'm sorry. What would you like to have written on your gravestone? Here's the first thing that comes to mind: "A loved mother". [She starts to cry] That makes me tear up. I'm young and I have this wild spirit, I wanna run around and be free and have this boyfriend and that boyfriend. If Katharine won an Oscar, a Grammy, Miss America and the Nobel Peace Prize, the hags at MJs and the children at AI would find something bad to say. Never mind them. It's great to see Katharine's other side, sure she is mostly the sweet, good girl that we know and love, but not 100%. It is great that she is in this magazine, (I've never heard of it but that is hardly surpising), it seems to cutting edge and it is taking her seriously. We are all just going to have to get used to seeing the other facets of Katharine's personality. She is also going to change a lot over the coming years, we will have to get used that too.

Can I just say this makes me love Katharine more. I didn't think it was possible, but I guess it is. Last year in high school I had the same experience with colorful vomit (not that anyone wants to know), but it just reminds us that Katharine had a "normal" life before American Idol. Forget what other people might say. Katharine is who she is. Phee is right; people are going to find a way to criticize her no matter what she does.

When was the last time you lit? I don't think that people want to read that. [Laughs] I'm supposed to be the sweet all-American girl from American Idol! And it shows in her sense of humour, one of her most endearing traits. But that's just me, a proverbial child of the 60's. Love the interview..man is she quick. Got more brains than common sense so there's gonna be a few bumps in the road. But who cares. Following Kat's career is going to be quite the ride.

Yet if I had the opportunity to have my heart broken and trampled-on by Kat, I'd take it! Oh, this is great - I love reading about WildKat! That picture, wow - I hope the fellas have picked themselves up from off the floor! That baby voice is a riot, and using it on Paris - LOL, oh she's just a regular normal chick. I think a lot of people have had a colored Ralphing experience sometime in their lives, thank the Lord I haven't met Ralph in quite awhile, good to hear Kat having some DD moments.

Yes, she's the same wonderfulKat on the inside even though we see a different side of her on the outside in these ah, er, hmmmm pics. She's a little Christina A, Catherine Zeta?? Blender Magazine also publishes Maxim, but Katharine has said she wouldn't do a shoot for Maxim until she felt her career was on the down side. She has recorded soul and R&B and she has to look a little more edgy in the future. Loved it when she said "Oh man, I gotta sing" Somewhere Over The Rainbow" again. Now we will see the woman in Katharine.

I thought this article was interesting as it showed a different type of Kat than what we've seen in the past. We know from other interviews that she doesn't hold back her thoughts when discussing things, and I guess she felt ready to let us know more about her. I can relate to her experiences in college even though it's been a while. (-but don't remember any purple)--As for the pictures, she never stops amazing me with her various looks and poses. She sure has had lots of surprises for us this week, and I'm sure there will be more !!. Way to go Kat!

Iv wondered a lot why 21-year old girl from LA totally messed my mid-aged-northeuropean mind last spring and summer. I know now. Because She is fantastic, phenomenal in any way. Have you ever heard that any other celebrity gives so honest and open answers?Yeah, and Her looks at these photos... Fantastic, but we all know that Her versality, talent and beauty are unmatched.
