I read this article and enjoyed the information. When Katharine was asked about the rumours of her leaving the show and being pregnant affecting her, she was reported as having said that she does not go on the Internet, doesn't read information about her and doesn't want to know what people are saying about her, good or bad. On the one hand, I can totally agree with and respect that, because there is always going to be a lot of "junk" out there being said about people who are in the limelight and it's completely understandable that they don't want to hear about the gossip and garbage; yet, on the other hand, the statement that she doesn't care what people are saying--even if it's good--makes it kind of sound like what her fans are saying about her doesn't matter either. That's disappointing, and please help me understand if I'm reading it or taking it the wrong way. The fans are who will keep these AI contestants on the show by voting, and it's just kind of sad to think that she may not care about even the good stuff people who like and admire her are saying. You know? Didn't I read somewhere on this site that her mom's assistant had said she and her mom liked this particular fan site? I'm just thinking that if she doesn't go on the Internet at all and even check out things like this, a fan site for her, then she doesn't even know what we're saying in support of her. (And we're the ones voting for her--many, many times!) When I belonged to the Kate Winslet Fan Club several years ago, it was awesome because Kate actually knew about the fan site and one time a couple of girls who were fans took a trip to London where she lives (British actress) and delivered letters to her, care packages and all sorts of stuff that we, her fans, had mailed to them for her. Kate wrote a letter to her fans and it was posted on the fan club site! It meant a lot to us just that she knew about us and appreciated our admiration of her. (Just giving a true example there of how much more interesting and fun it becomes when the person you're a fan of knows about your interest in them and is grateful for their fan base!)
