I'm so tired of listening to all the anti-Nick stuff that I've finally almost got to where I can do the "report and ignore" thing. It's just hard to know how to react when the stuff is coming from people I know are devoted fans, especially the ones who seem to have gotten into parental overdrive, because I can understand that. SO FAR all I've seen from Nick has been positive. He seems to be a caring, supportive partner who is giving her what she needs at this point in her life. If any of that ever changes, well, we'll see, but until then-- Aloha! Have a good trip. Bring her back soon so she can get into the recording studio.
Wow ! I hope you both are wrong about Kat and Nick. You know love don't have a age and age is only a number to start with.Speaking from my own side I was 10 years older than my wife when we meet,and I have got to tell you all was great in all ways . I also think all would have been good until the end but I lost her to cancer after 15 years.I for one would like to set back and see how it goes with Kat and Nick befor I open my mouth about them.I am not trying to make anyone upset it is just how I feel about it .For Kat's sake I wish her and Nick the best.You know it is hard to place yourself in Kats or Nicks place to know why or how deep love is between them ,for we all need and want ,and it may not be what you or I would want or need.Also if this makes Kat happy then I am all for it.

Somehow I think we are in for a feast of pictures over the next couple of weeks, and not just the official wedding pics from People either. I wouldn't be surprised if a passel of papz isn't headed to Hawaii as we speak. As long as they are are polite and not intrusive and allow Nick and Katharine some privacy.
I see Just Jared has some larger versions of the ones we have already seen, this is a new fave. How can anyone look so beautiful all the time? Especially caught unposed at an airport. Who feels beautiful at an airport with customs and immigration and homeland security all waiting to interview you?

Whoa......take a deep breath. I complely understand that this is an issue for some people (Nick and Kat's age difference) and may have a problem with it. I don't agree with this position, but I can understand their concerns. Just because they have reservations, doesn't make them any less of a fan. The two are completely seperate issues. I, too, am a fan of Kat's but think she has made plenty of mistakes along the way.
That's why I feel this forum is healthy, where people can express their concerns (if presented politely) that may ultimately help Kat along her journey (in life as well as professionally).
This forum would be a pretty boring place if we all held the same views.

Yesterday, I felt a little funny that I deleted some portions of my comments because I didn't want to feed too strong of a satire and be misunderstood. I'm a Kat fan and I respect everybody's concerns. But now, I know I can be back to my old humorous self. Thank you. - Mattsie

I had absolutely no problem with your post. You weren't rude at all. Many people in this society have a problem with May-December relationships.... you are certainly not alone.
The post in question was not demeaning; all they were doing is expressing their concerns. If either Kat or Nick get embarrassed over people raising concerns over their age difference, they better find a large rock to live under because they are going to hear it constantly. I'm not saying it is right, but I know how people are in this day and age.
And as I've stated before, I do have room to talk on this issue as my better-half is 25 years my junior!!!
You go GB!!! I actually am the opposite of Katharine, and like younger men, but like someone said there is no age or number when you're in love. Katharine is an old soul and she seems to relate well to people who are older, so she and Nicholas probably hit it off and the rest is history.
Kat seems to have thick skin already, so I'm sure hearing/reading about the age thing just rolls right off her back. Bottom line, it's people being judgmen
