This one's going all over, must have showed up ten times in my google alerts already. But 
really, why would she do that when she's been so close-mouthed about anything relating 
to being engaged and ignoring the paparazzi when they asked her, etc. I'm not sure it 
makes sense.

I'm glad to see that over here at least the discussions about all this have been minimal. I don't get this at all and got myself into too much of a tizzy about it. But I will say here that I am concerned by it and by the timing a great deal.

Compared to the sums that A-listers are asking for wedding photos, the sum of $60K is very modest. The only reason that I could imagine doing this for is to get the word out and deter paparazzi from attending the wedding. I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I just don't like the snarky tone all the bloggers seem to be taking about this. It's like when it was Kat vs. RCA she was the "good guy" and they were the "bad guy." they at least cut her some major slack. But almost all the blog accounts of this have been really snotty and I don't understand why. The account published above was way tame. I won't even quote some of them.

As usual I'm doing my Gemini trick of feeling both ways about this--it may seem a little tacky for celebs to sell wedding pictures, but there are reasons why, i suppose, and also, how else are we going to see pictures of the event? I assume we'd all like to see Katharine in her wedding dress. And although in a weird way it might be fun to see a picture of her pushing a piece of wedding cake into some paparazzo's face, I'd hate to think of her big day being spoiled like that. So maybe it makes more sense to just get somebody official and let them do it, and anyone else spotted with a camera will just be shot on sight. I don't even want to get into the "should she do it or shoudn't she" thing.
