American Idol runner up 2006, Katharine McPhee, who always had good looks and a sweet voice, has now acquired style and sartorial taste befitting a fashion icon.  

Armed with her Christmas shopping list, Katharine McPhee stops by Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, Ca for some leather boots.

20 December 2007 (Sawf News) - American Idol runner up 2006, Katharine McPhee, who always had good looks and a sweet voice, has now acquired style and sartorial taste befitting a fashion icon.

The 23-year-old Californian was seen shopping at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, for some leather boots Wednesday, December 19.

McPhee was snugly but stylishly attired in a knit black trapeze dress and black tights over which she wore a black three-button front closure long knit coat.

Her hair looked tidy in a pony tail and she wore light make-up. She glammed up the ensemble with trendy knee high beige leather boots and a beige leather shoulder bag.

McPhee was voted No 2 on FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in The World 2007 and it is easy to see why.

She will make her studio acting debut as a pregnant hippie in a comedy titled I Know What Boys Like directed by Fred Wolf.

The film stars Anna Faris and additionally features Rumer Willis, Emma Stone and Colin Hanks.

Kat has a great fashion sense. It's always fun seeing how she puts outfits together. Love her taste!

Those boots match her bag/purse that she's packing with her most of the time.  I wonder if she bought them purely because of that!  It looks like she's got a list there.  Maybe it's her Christmas shopping list for Nick, Nena, Larry, Peisha, Dan and Adriana.

Just read that again.  Kat's a fashion icon!

Awww...Kat and Mom shopping together. I still remember the last time I did Christmas shopping with my Mother. It was in 1975 in San Diego. It was special because it was the first time we ever heard someone (a store employee) say that he could tell we were mother and daughter! I'm sure Kat will have many of those types of memories to cherish one day! So Special!!!
