I'd posted this same link approx 2 weeks ago, but at the time it seemed as though no one cared.     No one even made a single comment about it at the time.  Hopefully folk's will take more notice of it this time around.

How is MSN defining "pop", anyway? Lindsay Lohan at #4? Kellie Pickler at #8? Paris Hilton at #17?!

Oh, and sorry about not commenting on your "Top Pop Princesses" post earlier, SoldOnKat. It's just that #22 didn't seem that impressive. I didn't realize until I looked further that the list wasn't restricted to female pop singers.

So is the Amazon list based solely on sales totals at that site? If so, then somebody tell Norah Jones (#1) and Michael Buble (#4) that their crappy, boring styles of music don't sell records...

guyss, the list is just at random. there is no particular order. its just 25 popular female musicians. its not like it says 22: Katharine McPhee, its just a slideshow

OK, that would explain Fergie and Beyonce at #24 & #25. Not sure that explains Paris Hilton being on the list, though.

The Amazon ranking of #55 seems fair to me...
