Thanx for bringing this to us.

Kudos to People Magazine for choosing Katharine McPhee as one of the most beautiful people.  What is really cool is that People is spotlighting her in a great video here. And they want to photograph Kat without makeup.

Well now we know about the horse.

She doesn't need a music studio full of engineers to make her sound good.
She doesn't need a face full of makeup to make her look good.
And she can turn cartwheels and do hand stands without falling on her face (or anything else).
Whatta girl. If People couldn't figure out she belonged on the MB list they should go outta business.

On NBC Today's show..they had a segment of People Magazine Most Beautiful People.  Kat pic appeared twice in this segment.  One was when a fella gave his answer..'Katharine Mcphee' and another when they talked about celebrities appearing in their magazine w/o make up.  Kat is always beautiful with and w/o make up.

 Awesome!  Thanks for posting.  To us it's a no brainer, but still you never know which way they're gonna go with a list like this.  Stuff like this certainly takes the sting out of looking at the stupid HDD list every week and not seeing Kat's name on there.  If she's going to have a career in film you could argue this list is more important than any soundscan or billboard chart.  Go Kat Go!

Kat doing the backbend is one of the greatest things I've seen. I love the way she shrugs and puts her arms out after she stands up kinda like "See what I can do". I don't know about anyone else but I'm impressed with the backbend as well as the cartwheel as well as with Kat in general. She's fabulous!!! As Groucho would say "Good ole Kat McPhee". Just joking Groucho.

WOW this is incredible. No make-up, beautiful color for the photoshoot, horses, flexibility, silliness and absolute STUNNING natural beauty. It's no surprise that she would be on that list, I mean after all she is most beautiful girl in the world (in my opinion). She definitely earned her spot on that list and I am so proud of her. Thanks Phee for the video, loved it.

I'm sure most of you would agree that Kat should have beaten out Drew Barrymore for first place position. Though I agree that they're both two of the rare beautiful celebs out there who look better with no to little makeup. As Kat said herself, she looks the best when wearing an extremely light assortment of makeup. Just some light lipstick and little else is all she needs to look perfect. Though we've all seen her makeupless when just getting out of bed (unless it was staged in her vid blog ) and looking like a vision...glasses/robe/hair in a bun combo and all.

So People Mag is getting artsy now and making us have to play back their vids twenty times because of multiple frames going on simultaneously? While that's a fun way to present Kat's photoshoot--I had to play it back several times just to see what she does in those other frames. At one point, I thought it was going to turn into the Brady Bunch tic-tac-toe squares with multiple Kats talking, looking up, down, or sideways at the other Kats or being filmed at different places. People Magazine's just trying to mess with our senses.

Overall, this is a wonderful vid that you all should see if you haven't yet. That horse theme was a brilliant idea...and that vulnerability/sensuality mix Groucho mentioned above is really quite evident when you see that shot of her on the horse. That final backflip Kat does (well, she almost doesn't make it) proves how limber Kat truly is. She doesn't always show that (especially on 'AI' when she looked more tense sometimes)--but Kat could be one of the best dancers around thanks to the way her body's built. When she's relaxed, her limbs and body move as smooth as any great ballet dancer.

We all predicted Kat would be in People's Most Beautiful issue this year. Last year at this time, we all mentioned it on the 'AI' board and predicted she'd be there a year later. It just seems that more established stars such as Drew end up getting preferential treatment in the immediate term. In another year or two--we'll be seeing Kat in the #1 spot there. And, for God's sake People Mag--please put out a Sexiest Woman Alive issue why don't you. We've seen enough of the Sexiest Male Alive issues on newsstands that seem to have a revolving wheel of the same usual suspects.

P.S.--There must be a mole at People when you realize that nose-picking outtake from this shoot got out to the mainstream press.

Well, I'd been calling for this one for the longest time so...thank goodness People has some smart people working at the magazine.

Funny thing about this is they are running a feature on AOL about women without makeup not looking so good.  They used Jessica Alba, Salma Hayek, etc, etc.  I think it was for AOL Espanol so they were Latin Beauties without makeup.  But it got me to go look at some of my Kat pictures w/o makeup just to check them out again.  And of course Kat looks great without makeup.

As Groucho said...she doesn't need much help with anything.  She doesn't need makeup, she doesn't need all the bells and whistles to sound good singing...not that those "helpers" don't have a place but...anyway.

So this is what that horse stuff was for.  Aha!
