Katharine wasn't criticizing the show itself. She was just saying it was really hard to get through. So what? Is that complaining? No, it's just saying it was emotionally draining and rough. She's always been complementary to the show and grateful for everything it's given to her.

I'd like to see Michael Levine try to survive on 'AI.' Ever see a cynical old Hollywood know-it-all man cry? The reality is, there's really NOTHING else out there in the real music world that's as tough as 'AI' is. Even Kat's said this herself. She said everything else has been easier compared to going through 'AI' boot camp. Everybody says that working in the music business is even tougher when I doubt it is. No wonder Kat's so much more relaxed now--because the experience on 'AI' helped her cope with the other aspects of the business that might be considered tough if you've never been on 'AI' before. So, Kat puts 'AI' through the prism of good experience rather than it being something that she truly enjoyed. It really isn't that hard to figure out if people read a little bit. But nobody does their homework before flapping their gums in the press...especially the Hollywood community. Kat and Jennifer Hudson are just prime targets because of the places they're in right now. All you have to do is say anything a little bit critical and you're an ungrateful brat. The thing is, if 'AI' is truly that manipulative (and it doesn't take a genius to figure that out), past contestants have a right to say so. That way, future contestants will know what they're getting into. Kat gave out her comments to help other people. 'AI' has no right to be like the CIA and keep that many secrets from an unsuspecting public. When you're as powerful as 'AI', though, there's probably grand delusions of thinking they're bigger than the CIA.

How ridiculous! Kat never disses the show! She's always shown herself to be thankful to AI for what it's done for her. The author of this article has a bad agenda and needs to be called on it! How is saying that the judges comments hurt at times dissong the show? Guess Kat wasn't the author's favorite and this is revenge time.

We have never really heard Katharine diss AI overtly. She has spoken about nthe challenges and the control factor, but that is only the truth that nobody can dispute, but she is always grateful for the opportunity American Idol has given her. In the case of Jennifer Hudson, Simon made a disparaging remark to her and she really can't be faulted for being bitter about it. She is now a big star and that fact has exacted her revenge,

Fascinating how many journalists/interviewers attempt to goad Katharine into making disparaging remarks about other celebrities or AI!!Kat never fails to avoid their traps...she is a true diplomat,despite otherwise being quite candid!!Kat could only be called a diva in the sense of being a great vocalist;not relating to her personality!
