well...i just saw this post and i have to reply because i was a bit hurt by it...since i was one of the only ones i believe taking video in tampa...i am quite sure that the "idiot" you are referring to is me...you should probably view some of the other "idiots" screaming in their videos as well--many of whom are members on this site.  wth...seriously, you should watch what you are saying about people--it's rude and uncalled for--we were having fun, and you are lucky we even shared the videos with you at all.  you're welcome, btw.

Great new tampa vids except the idiot beside the camera screaming! I'll put it all together before going to bed this evening.

I do apologise. That was an off hand comment that I regret. If I had stopped to think about it I would have editted it out of course.

Yes, we are greatfull for any video that you so generously provide. But being human and greedy we always wish for more - like a perfect sound sound track.

thank you for the apology...please DO think about what you post before you post it...and greg posted something similar about the screaming on multiple videos...i mean seriously, would you want those things said about you, when first and foremost, you were having fun, and 2nd, taking videos to share...many if not ALL of the videos on here from phans have screaming on there when kat appears...personally, i would be concerned if there was silence!

I almost didn't get to go to a concert, and I have a lot of friends here who didn't get to go.
So I wanted to try to help those who didn't go, experience it through my eyes.
I had a lot of fun making this video, It was hard to keep it down to 10 min,
but when I watch it I remember feeling the same way all over again, especially when it shows me peeking into the car to see Kat. I was so excited and oddly scared.
The only thing that doesn't translate well, was the moment she said, "Are you Candice?"
*Thud*
That was me getting pushed over by a feather.

I've heard a few people who said sthat Katharine was mean and had gone "Hollywood"
so I was terrified to meet her, for fear that it could be true.
But she more than exceeded my expectations.
She was more like an old friend than a celebrity,
and now we have a few inside jokes between us-that makes
me feel like we really do have a sort of friendship.

Wow, I'm rambling, but my roommates are sick of me gushing about it, so I have to spill it somewhere.
Anyways, I just want everyone to know-That no matter what you hear, Kat loves her fans.
She not only loves you, but she knows you-and remembers what you do for her.

She appears snobby to some (because she is a little shy) And if you meet her,
giver her a moment to let her get comfortable and warm up to you.
She likes to make you laugh, and be charming.
So once she starts with her goofiness... You are GOLDEN
And you'll feel like her best friend for life.

I can't wait to hear more of your experiences meeting Katharine,
I think that if we all keep loyal to her, and keep not only supporting her
by buying her albums and renting her movies, but through writing her letters,
and sending her small gift reminders- that we are rooting for her,
then she will keep pressing forward with optimism.

And eventually, the majority of us will have had experiences like this.
Now that the new idols are about to come to light, keep a focus on Kat,
even she has said many times that it was the love of her fans who pushed her forward.

So We have the easiest job of all. Just keep loving her.

Hi Simon, have you reviewed yet the Mattsie's Tacoma Videos  thread lately?
I have added something in there that I thought I could never do until you clued me into the XP movie maker thingy. Thanks.... By the way, in my recap at the concerts site, there were 2 paragraphs below duplicated, you may want to edit that. I tried to go in there to edit it myself but I couldn't get it to work. I'm afraid I would just duplicate the whole thing. there is no "editing" option. I also tried to add more images but I couldn't get them to appear on the slider. The images are from the video of SOTR that I grabbed as stills. Much better if you could replace  the whole katsconcerts recap with my existing review on the thread --click.

Editting of existing text content hasn't been activated yet - I don't want to open everything up just yet!

There is a help page on the editors page. If you read that it will explain how to upload images and how to generate the thumbnails and the page. You must complete all 3 steps to be able to see your images in the slide show.

Try again and let me know how it works out. I will replace your recap.

I have emailed you several times in the last few days but not had a reply. Are you not getting them?

I saw this earlier and wanted to make comment and some clarifications. I do apologize if I said something that offended anybody about the screaming...even though I hope all the regulars (and non-regulars) already know that I was just gently ribbing people who do that.

But, most importantly, let me say that I appreciate EVERYBODY who posts media from the tour. If It wasn't for all of you, we'd really be in the dark about all the brilliant things Katharine's brought to these live shows. If I haven't already emphasized this in other media threads (and I always try to) know that your work and time has been more than appreciated.

As far as my previous comments on screaming (which I have to go back and see again)--I was jesting about how some people almost bust a vein when screaming. I know that there shouldn't be silence at the concerts. Yelling out as much support as possible is obvious and needed. But I guess any halfway serious beef I had was with the degree of screaming. That's just all matters of opinion though. Sitting next to someone who does that incessantly at a concert bothers some people--and not others. It all depends on the decibel level more or less. A lot of times, I think the near-constant fever-pitch screaming during Kat's performing was coming from other people and not the media capturer.

So, I hope I cleared up any comment I made previously, K06idol. I understand what you're saying, though, and thanks for letting me address it here if anybody thought there was anything negative intended behind it.

By the way, excuse the orange text. My post seems to be running into your quote...which makes me want to ...oh never mind.

You know, we are all working for the same thing, KatsConcerts was created and maintained by Phee for Katharine's family and friends and us mcphans.  Phee has been working "full time" on this. And his team of czarilya, kenneth, Michael and I have been putting in a lot of hours as well.

As a fan, I empathize with you on trying to enjoy the show as well as trying to take video to share with all us phans. And we all really really thank you for that. Without your vid, there would be "nothing" to enjoy.

When I was taking vids at Kat's homecoming show, I hoped that I could catch Kat's performance without too much screaming on the side and talking. I told my son and myself, "don't talk, because the camera will pick it up!"  And I myself was screaming on the inside and could hardly keep the camera from shaking, as I too was sooo excited to see and hear Kat.

I also want to apologize to some of you who criticized my putting up a "negative" review of one of Katharine's performances.  In my desperate search to find a recap of her performance I could only find  one, at the time and fortunately, another review was posted and I was able to delete mine.

I suppose that in our almost zealous efforts to make KatsConcerts the very best site for Katharine and her family and mcphans to enjoy, we forget to fully appreciate the sensitivities and fantastic efforts of each and every one of you and the many fans from other boards who have shared and contributed here.

Very well said Minnie. It's all fine now Phee, Katharine06idol, Greg, and Minnie. We are all mature adults and we should understand that occasionally we do make careless mistakes but never our intention. We are all too zealous trying to work for Kat and sometimes might accidentally step on other's toes or get into their nerves. These are all good because we showed how much we love Kat and tried to make everything perfect for her. If it's not for Kat, noone would care to contribute and neither KMF nor KatsConcerts would have existed.

I have said it many many times but I'm saying it again (I know). I really appreciate Phee and all who helped creating and updating KatsConcerts. Even with everyone's expertise, this is not an easy send-a-gift-to-Kat project. It's almost equivalent to a full time job considering the amount of workload and time it consumes. I really hope that Kat and her families appreciate the effort we put in even though the initial response was not what one would like to hear. But at least we know for sure that the McPhans really enjoy it and this alone makes it worthwhile for the dedications everyone had put in.

As long as we're all venting here, I'd like to say it's upsetting that so few Katharine fans are willing to pitch in with katsconcerts.com. If you can post on KMF, at least send us a link to the KMF thread. We had planned on turning it eventually into a wykepedia type system, but it appears as though the site would be pretty weak if we did that. The true value of katsconcerts.com will be seen starting 2 or 3 years from now.

Now I see those pics that I recently added on the montage. (I grabbed those from my SOTR vids.)
They turned out good, I'm surprised. Thanks so much for updating the recap. You're a wonderful human being, Sie. What you do is marvelous. You bring out the best in everybody. Thanks to all of you who have been directly working on this project. I admire your devotion. I hope KM and the family would find time to see them all. I'm sure they would love it and would realize that a lot of us are true and dedicated fans.

We are not doing badly for hits: As of this moment 61 unique visitors since I installed a crappy stats counter at 10:30 eastern time. 02:50 now, so just over 4 hours at night time.

I'm still trying to find a good replacement for jellycounter. They are either free and crappy or free and make you carry someone elses advertising or expensive! I didn't realize how good jellycounter was. Perhaps I should write my own. There seems to be nothing cheap and good.

Kellylovah from IDF Recap

I FINALLY saw the Idol tour last night! For the first time since American Idol began five years ago, the gang came to West Virginia! In the past, I've had to travel out of state to the shows, but was VERY excited they were coming to my city.

All day, I was freaking out because I knew Kat was so close. I wish I could have met her soooo bad, but just being there up close was all that mattered. My friends and I were on the 7th row. Kat wore her black dress that was cut out in the back. She rocked on Black Horse & The Cherry Tree; Think was awesome; and SOTR was AMAZING. Kat's voice is STUNNING and one of the purest voices I've ever heard. The audience loved her!

It's just an amazing feeling to see the Idol you rooted for since day one. To see how far she's come is incredible! Her voice is back to normal, her foot isn't in the cast any more and she's sexier than ever with her new haircut!

The feeling that I had when watching her is SO hard to explain. It's a feeling I'm sure all of you die-hard Kat fans had or will have when seeing her live for the first time. On the group numbers at the end, Kat wore a low-cut turqouise top, jeans and black heels. She definitely looked like a movie star!

There's so much I'd like to say about the show, but I just wanted to share a bit about my experience. After last night, my McPheever is in even higher gear; I'm anticipating her album SOOOO bad. I know that Kat has what it takes to be No. 1 on the charts and I'm going to continue praying that God will lead her to the best producers, marketing/promotions people and that Kat will let her voice shine to its fullest potential. Kat Pack forever!
